Q: What are the dimensions of this item?

The product description says 13-3/4" x 8" x 6-1/4" and that seems close for outside dimensions. The 8" could be the width from the hinges on the back to the latch on the front, and I measure the height closer to 7". The inside dimensions are about 6-1/2" by 12". The bottom section is about 3-1/2" deep and the depth of the lid varies but is 2-1/2" in the most shallow section.

Q: What is the difference from the size 1 and the size 4? Does the 4 have more trays?

If you put it on size 4, it’ll take you to different sellers, but it’s more expensive. Hope that helps.

Q: I'm thinking of getting this for my 4 yr old to use as a tool box....is the tray removeable?

The Plano box I have is designed for fishing tackle and its tray is not designed to be removed - it certainly does not just "lift out". I believe Plano has other boxes designed as tool boxes. These might be what need. John L.

Q: Is this long enough to fit push rods for rifle cleaning?

It is about 14 inches long. If your push rods are smaller that, they will fit.
