I would never buy a different branded speaker.I have used UE boom speakers for a long time, I had upgraded to the EVERBOOM from my WONDERBOOM, it still has the same quality you’d expect from UE boom, waterproof, dust resistant and shock proof.I had played tennis with my wonderboom, used it in my kayak and had it within hot tubs and it still hasn’t broken or lost any quality.This is typically in upgrade from that which is louder and has nice bass feedback, the added app where you can adjust the EQ is also a plus!

My third UE speaker in the last ten years or so, not a replacement, but an addition. They are brilliant for moving round the house, syncing outside for parties and the smaller ones I have taken on holiday.

Great speaker how ever mega better! If you want portable more choose this one. Mega is heavy.

The media could not be loaded. So - on opening the box I put the speaker on charge to make sure it was fully charged before using.Thought I would test the battery life - as love a speaker to listen to the radio/music especially when out in the garden.This speaker is waterproof and floats (we be testing that next time we go paddle boarding). Have left it out in the rain and still working fine.Connects easily to my phone - the app is very basic. Shows battery life, and the speaker can be turned on and off remotely. Also has a good Bluetooth range - I have a normal 3 bedroom end terrace, and I can walk through my house with my phone, and the speaker stays connected out in my garden.It’s a nice design, sturdy and well made. Not heavy - but not light. It’s a solid bit of kit.The + and - buttons on the front are volume buttons. You can set the magic button up to play music straight from your music streaming platform - I set mine up to my Apple Music easily.It had a caribina clip so you can hang it anywhere - and if using it outside you can use the “outdoor boost” which improves the sound outside.I was using a cheaper speaker before I got this - and massive difference in sound quality. This is much sharper - and much better base.And as for loud - loud is LOUD. So gets a good high volume if that’s what you prefer.I have been listening at what I’d call normal levels - so you can still hear others talking but still hear the music. And battery life is amazing. It states 20 hours on the box - they must have based that on full volume. I’ve been timing this speaker - and it’s lasted 45 hours before it’s told me “critical battery”. That’s well more than it says - at a ‘normal’ volume.Will be great for when we go camping it won’t need charging again.I cannot test with other speakers for party up mode - as we haven’t had this brand before - but that’s all changed and we have been looking at their other speakers.Great quality speaker - great sound - great bass - easy to use - no complaints at all. Highly recommend, and will get this brand again.Edited post to say - tested the waterproof-ness of the speaker out on the SUP boards today - and definitely waterproof. And floats too as you can see.

This speaker is a very solid tall cylinder shape with cured edges and is decorated on the front with bright yellow volume symbols which stand out on the black speaker background. These symbols are actually the volume control buttons which is a handy feature. The speaker comes with a clip which attaches onto the back so you can hang the speaker up and comes with a USB C charging cable. This speaker contains a lot of features that to be honest only a few people would require and a lot of the features myself I wouldn’t use. I think the speaker is very well made and feels and looks great quality. As someone who using this speaker just to work out with at home and listen to music in the garden and kitchen it’s more than adequate for me.

It's a great all round portable speaker. It paired with my phone very quickly and it sounds great.There is a clear base favouring but this works well for most modern music and is to most peoples tastes. It can get very loud without any distortion which is ideal for outdoor use so the pictures are justified.Battery life is as advertised as far as I can tell. I've been using at home many days over the last month and have only had to charge it once. Only thing I can't verify is the waterproof claims. I wouldn't doubt it floating and brand new it may very well repel most water but over time this will fail. Not really a complaint, just warning silly people that think it will stay waterproof forever.Only reason for the -1 star is that it's rather expensive. You can get great sounding speakers for half the price. But the build quality and sound are great. If you're happy paying a premium for the brand then go for it.
