Q: Is this any more efficient in creating a meringue or lift in egg whites as compared to a balloon whisk?

These are the small whisks. So I would say "no." They are perfect for whisking a egg to scramble or a small amount of whipping cream.

Q: Where are these made?

Mine were all made in Sweden, but I'm not sure if some others are made elsewhere.

Q: Without breaking, can these be bent at bottom to achieve different angles for different pans/bowls?

I wouldn’t recommend bending. The angle is why this whisk works so well. Whether you’re mixing in a flat dish (pie plate) or deep bowl, the whisk sets directly in the ingredients allowing it to quickly and thoroughly breakdown and combine everything.
