Q: How secure do the cup holders hold drinks?

The cup holders are fairly deep, however, we haven't used them as we were concerned our elbows might knock them off the table. Short glasses might work ok, but not stemmed wine glasses.

Q: For mahjong is there room to put your mahjong card?

Unfortunately, the table is too high to play MahJongg (or any other game) comfortably. This is not game table height (27" or less). This is dining table height (29"), which makes it hard to play games on, not being able to see down onto the game and without putting your shoulders and elbows out of joint lifting them up, or rising up out of your chair to see what's been played on the table. That 2" makes a huge difference in comfort (unless you are super tall).

Q: Would this be good for jigsaw puzzles ?

You will have to consider that the boarder is a 2" plastic lip around each side , your space for the puzzle would be the felt area.

Q: does XL tiles fit well on this table? or it needs a small or standard size tiles ?
