You really don't want stainless steel for such devices due to it being considerably softer than other steels and alloys. Steel alloys containing high amounts of chromium, carbon, and/or titanium make for considerably better tools. Stainless steel is nice for kitchen appliances, eating utensils, decorative trim, and certain hardware.
