Q: Could this be used for a PlayStation 4? My mic plugs into the controller and the controller plugs into the console.

To clarify the comments made by other reviews, USB electrical interference is a real thing. Even if the data sent is 1's and 0's, it is sent through copper wiring that carries an electrical frequency that is effected by EM interference. Better quality cabling can help with this. I use a high end audio cable to connect to my DAC, and it eliminate nearly all interference if plugged in directly to my laptop. But if plugged into my dock? Significant scratchy white noise from the electrical interference. The purpose of a product like this is to ground that interference so you don't hear it through your speakers.

The iSilencer should generally be at the source end of a given the data flow. Products like the iFi iPurifier 3 are far better in improving the data stream (noise reduction, reclocking, etc.) and the iPurifier 3 should go at the receiving end of the data flow.

Q: Does it use the same anc for usb 2 signals as it uses for usb 3 signals?

DO NOT BUY, It burned up my MB. The company and Amazon was no help. $300 to replace my MB.
