I cannot answer the Amazon question. However, I can answer the inactive ingredients in the lip balm. Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Polyisobutene, Butyloctyl Salicylate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Nut Extract, C18-38 Alkyl Hydroxystearoyl Stearate, Ozokerite, Cetyl Alcohol, Diethylhexyl 2,6-Naphthalate, Glyceryl Stearate, Polyglyceryl-10 Decaoleate, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Sesamum Indicum. I, personally found this lip balm too tacky and yes, goopy.

Q: does this have a fragrance?

Not much. Slight hint of vanilla. Label doesn’t include fragrance, just vanillin which is an organic compound.

Q: Will I still get the spf effects if I apply lip gloss over this?

Yes, I apply the Supergoop a few minutes before lip gloss to insure it’s absorbed.

Great sunscreen, flavor might not be for everyone.

I got the açaí flavored one. The smell is pleasant, subtle and unobtrusive. It works great and seems to stay on for a long time, only needing to reapply every few hours if I’m in the sun for a long enough time. The only caveat is that if you’re not careful, you will taste a slight chemical sunscreen flavor if you accidentally lick your lips or get too much mouth moisture on it. It’s not the most unpleasant or offensive flavor though, and it goes away pretty quickly. This seems to be normal with most sunscreen lip balms with SPF this high that I’ve tried in the past.

Works great!

I struggle with dry lips, so I bought this for a beach trip. Hands down one of the best lip balms that I’ve ever used! Doesn’t leave the weird white film, smells great, kept my lips feeling hydrated, and protected my lips from the sun. 10/10 would recommend.

Great smell and consistency, horrible taste

I use this SPF flip balm in the morning or when I’m going for a run, to the beach, etc. The texture feels just like regular lip gloss. I got the açaí flavor, which smells amazing—but the taste is really weird. Even if you don’t mean to, it ends up in your mouth and it’s hard to get rid of. Despite that, I still use it because it protects my lips and smells great.

Just buy it!

Love this lip balm! I was looking for a balm with spf. This one is fantastic. Has a little shine, it’s not sticky and is really moisturizing. The bonus is the light mint flavor.

Taste is bad

I saw this on a blogger’s page and it was in her top ten. I just got mine and I’m so disappointed. The smell and taste is just entirely nasty. Not only that I put it on and it burned more like stinging so it lasted for several minutes. It was bad enough that I wiped it off. The taste is hard to overcome for me. Not a good pick My doesn’t expire until 1/2026

I like the minty smell it has but when you apply it, it tastes gross. It’s pretty thick which I don’t mind too much but I have a hard time wearing it due to the taste.
