A really excellent product at a very good price indeed - I did my research very carefully! I couldn't find anything else offering a similar range of weights with such generally positive reviews at a price anywhere near this. the only slight negative for me is the screw-on plastic locking nuts. Of course I'd prefer good quality chrome nuts or clamps - but no-one with decent reviews is offering them at this price. These work fine. One was a bit tight to begin with, but they're easing with use. And I'll upgrade soon. The bars are solid and well-made; the weight are first-class. There are a some silly quibbles in some of the other reviews here - ignore them. (I can't comment on any reported one-off faults.) Yes, the grips on the bars are slightly rough to handle - that's called GRIP! It's no more than usual here. And yes, the weights are quite large; plastic covered filled weights like these always are, and these are smaller than most I've used. If you want smaller weights, buy cast iron. I'd definitely buy again.

I'm going to start by saying this is an honest review I am not at all biased and am a trustworthy source. I recommend this to any BEGINNER! There are pros and cons so If you want know more continue reading... I started at the gym after Christmas and set out to become a better me. I am not strong and therefore I haven't had too much experience with weights. I decided I was doing a lot at the gym and not enough at home so I went and bought these as I had seen some good and bad reviews. Pros; They are perfect for your first set. The price is right. I estimate they will last 6-8 months. The selection of weights are fantastic. Cons; There are some scuff marks on some of the larger plates probably due to someone dropping the parcel. The bars the weights are put on are slightly loose but it's not noticeable. The handle is silver not black(it doesn't matter anyway) I hope future customers find this helpful as I have been truthful and as for people that give it a 1/5 star, take them into consideration. The plates are plastic and they may get damaged but these cases are rare.

The weight disks are OK. The bars are OK. But the lock nuts are plastic & very difficult to get the thread started when changing weights. hence the 3 stars. had it not been for that I would have given the full 5 stars.

The item doesn't match the pictures you can see, all the pieces you see made of metal are actually made of a very low quality plastic, I don't recommend buying this item at all, you can get a lot better quality products at similar prices.

Bought these to do body pump at home the quality is excellent but the bar is too short you can’t do a decent chest press with them and also have to constantly screw the bar back into the connection so I wouldn’t recommend these if it’s body pump type of movement you’re looking to use them for. I am having to purchase a whole new set to get my home work

I wanted some reasonably priced dumbells. These did not disappoint. Great quality, great value and exactly as described

Present for God Son - he was happy with them - bought them as a bit of a 'starter' kit.. I'm sure if he gets into weights later he'll look for a heavier steel set. I've used this type years ago when I started off and they were fine if used carefully, if you start slamming them down on a hard surface as the plastic will crack and eventually the soft concrete mix inside will break down. I'd recommend for someone looking for a bit of resistance training at a reasonable price.
