I bought this to repair my 12 string Ovation Celebrity CC45. It works perfect. Beautiful sound.

Ok,here it is for 12 bucks ,ovation celedrety elite guitar
It works good, the action was so high on the guitar i had to take the saddle down a half mile which doesnt work with the open piezo pickup that is in an ovation guitar, this pichup is a good addition if you need to sand the saddle down to lower the action, just unplug the stock pickup and plug new one in,it too long but thats not an issue, push it up thru the bottom and let the excess hang down thru the hole reinstall the saddle, the only reason i diddnt give it 5 stars is the volumn needs to be up higher on the amp and guitar than before but it sounds good

Very impressed with sound, though had to modify saddle to fit wider/longer piezo
Used this to replace an existing piezo pickup that had broken. The piezo element is mounted in a rectangular metal tray that seems to protect it from bending. Incidentally I had to widen the slot in the saddle slot so that it would fit. Between my dremel tool, chisels, files, etc. I got the slot wide enough and long enough to fit. The existing broken one was a shorter, rounder shape. (Something to keep in mind if you are replacing an existing pickup) I had to cut the 1/8" plug off the end and solder the pickup wire directly to my preamp where the old pickup was connected, but no other modifications were necessary. The sound is great, Nice and crisp highs, and solid bass. There seems to be a separate piezo piece directly under each string and the E,A,D string end had more "thump" than the G,B,E end, as if the pickup was designed for the frequency range of the strings.

Piezo worked well with Martin/ Fishman Preamp
I had to find out for myself because no one knew for sure and everyone poopooed on my idea, BUT… I managed to use this and repaired my Martin… something something model guitar. I know it has a built in Fishman preamp soldered to the board. I just cut the tip off this piezo and twisted/soldered the connection and VIOLA! It totally works and it is once again my gigging guitar, It was out for the count for two years and I couldn’t get anyone to fix it for some reason. I used my Taylor 814 during that time and while it sounds beautiful, anyone who gigs regularly knows how hard the life can be on an instrument. Anyway- this soft piezo works pretty darn well as a replacement.

Not good
So my piezo transducer in my Alvarez died and I had a gig on July 4th so I overnighter this to replace it. When I took it out if the package I saw the wire that was soldered to the bar was not connected and the solder had failed. Normally at this point I would have packaged it up and sent it back but it was July 3rd and no one had one locally. I attempted to resolder it and basically destroyed it. I threw it in the trash. Out the money and still have a non functional guitar. I borrowed a guitar for the gig and will take my Alvarez to a tech to get the transducer replaced. One other thing when comparing the solder compared to the solder on my original piezo it was apparent that they used a tiny bit of solder on this one compared to the original. I don't think the original Alvarez would have came loose had I drive over it with a car. You get what you pay for lesson learned.

SUPERB!!!!!
I installed this directly under the metal bridge and used an end pin jack with it on my jazz copy fretless 5 string bass with round wound strings. I used it passive and the sound is HUGE! I like it better than the magnetic pick ups:) Been building/converting basses for 50 years now and never tried this before. Very nice piezo!
