Always a fan of McDermott cues. Have had this one for about 8 years I believe. Still straight as an arrow and excellent balance. I have even used this as a regular cue occasionally and it is very good. I use mostly for breaking as I am not a big fan of jumping unless absolutely necessary....a good player will never put them into that position. I like the solid wood to wood contact joints and lack of "rattle" or mechanical sounds on a hard break. It feels like a one piece cue which is good. One advantage of a jump cue is you can remove the rearmost section to make the cue short when you have an obstruction near your table. My home table has to deal with one ceiling support beam that slightly gets in the way occasionally but just barely. I can use this cue shortened to deal with that. Not ideal but a lot cheaper than rebuilding my basement structure ;-)
