Hats with Heart Cotton 3-Seam Turban- Chemo Headcover Hat for Cancer and Hair Loss

Currently (2014) in chemo and radiation treatment for curable neck and throat cancer. Two weeks after first chemo treatment, hair began thinning and falling out. Since I was warned by 3 medical people and my hair dresser this hair falling would happen, wasn't as freaked out as I might have been. Cancer survivor friend introduced me to local place making various hats available free of charge to women losing hair (hats funded by donations and American Cancer Society). A Godsend! Was provided the 3-seam Turbans in dusky blue, black, and light grey, along with other hats. Liked the turban so well in feel and looks that I went online and found turbans in chocolate, navy blue, royal blue, maroon, and this charcoal grey. I color coordinate with my clothing. With coming to like this turban so much, haven't worn any of the other head coverings given to me. The Turban keeps my head noticeably warm. While hair was falling, the Turban stopped strands from getting all over me and the environment. There's still hair left in the back and sides and I like the look that my hair sticks out of the Turban. On some websites it's possible to purchase this Turban along with strands of synthetic hair. The fit for the charcoal grey is a little large-ish. There's no uniform sizing among the colors. I'll happily put up with size discrepancies to wear this Turban. Confidence has been boosted with these hats.

Founded & ordered the charcoal & black color cap on line since I liked this same cap that I already had in merlot color which friends liked. Nothing fancy but like the way the M/L caps fit comfortably on my medium size head, are soft & not too thick to wear out on sunny days. Seen this come as size S or M/L at the store that I got the merlot color cap but no choice for size selection when ordering on line. I put a note of wanting only the M/L size when ordering on line but not sure if that is the only size they carry.

Unfortunately my mother lost most of her hair at very young age. Since then she has been very finicky when it comes to headware and scarfs etc. SHE LOVES THESE. They stay in place without slipping/sliding. They are very light and they breathe. I ordered a few as a test and quickly ordered several more. She wears them every day and the head turbans she used to wear have disappeared. The material is very soft and comfortable. She is very prone to getting rashes or being itchy in general which leaves me a bit stunned that she absolutely no complaints;. Hopefully amazon will continue to carry them and will order more in the future.

Loved the color and the feel of the fabric. It's been very warm here so I haven't been wearing it since the fabric doesn't breathe. The fit is fine at the brim, but I don't have the extra room at the top to play with it. It fits my head, which is not that big (!), more like a skull cap than as shown on the model. Come winter I will be glad for that, but not during the heat of the summer.

Quality product. Used after losing hair during chemo. Kept head comfortable not hot, so soft to sleep in, not tight but stayed put. . Good quality and design. Have passed along to another in treatment and it is a comfort and regular cap for her as well.

Soft and comfortable fabric, just enough wide elastic (well-covered) in the back to help keep it on without being too tight over the ears. I use caps and turbans while sleeping, and this is my favorite mid-weight cap. I find it warm enough for cooler weather in the fall, though I have some heavier ones on order for really cold weather.

I purchased this 3-seam turban, the "Soft Comfy Sleep and Chemo Cap", and the "Brown Turban" in the same order. The Brown Turban has not arrived yet (don't order this if you need it quickly). The 3-seam turban is not as snug and more comfortable than the "Soft Comfy Sleep and Chemo Cap." I just started losing my hair and have been able to wear the 3-seam turban to work. I ordered three more and they arrived in two days.

This hat is light weight and nicely styled. It holds its structure while being light weight, that's the difference. I've purchased more expensive styles but the fabric is a bit 'floppy'. This hat holds its shape and for this price is a really good value.
