Great success for my angel fish babies!
This is like my third time purchasing these particular brine shrimp eggs. I have had great success and hatch rates even with my DIY hatchery. They do seem to take a bit longer to achieve a full hatch out - like 2 days so I have a few hatcheries I rotate between to keep a constant supply, but that could also be because of my particular water and salt solution. Either way, I will continue to order these to keep my baby angel fish happy and thriving!

Second time buying these
I decided to try my luck hatching brine shrimp for my bettas. This was my first attempt and after reading some other reviews I was sceptical I'd be able to do much with these. I'm glad I ignored what they were saying. I constructed a hatchery with a 1 liter bottle, tubing, a cheap light, and some salt. I did take others advice to put in the freezer upon arrival. Even in my primitive set up and lack of experience I was able to hatch so many BB I didn't know what to do with them all and ended up feeding them to my adult fish. Very pleased with purchase. Update: Bought this again after trying different brands and I can say this batch is awful. If they hatch it's a very small amount and takes longer for them to hatch when they do. I don't know what happened but these are terrible and you can't return them at all. Last time I buy these.

Good buy for a novice. Needs clear instructions included though.
I ordered these because I needed tiny food for cory fry. I had never tried love food before, especially something that needed hatching. When I received the eggs I tossed the package on top of my bigger fish tank, thinking I'll hatch them when it was time. A few days later I was reading up on hatching them and learned that the eggs need to be stored under 50°. Oops. So I threw them in the freezer. For a little over a week. Turnes out that's too cold. From what I read anyway. At this point I figured that I blew this batch but thought I'd try to hatch them anyway. Now there was no website that I could find from the company that explains how to set up a hatchery so I spent a good hour looking up the salt to water ratio. That kind of sucked. But the eggs have been in the hatchery for about 20 hours now and I am happy to say that I have a ton of baby brine shrimp. I really thought that the temperature the eggs were stored at was going to be an end all for this batch. Turns out they were still good. I will definitely be purchasing these again. Edit: It's been almost 4 years since I've bought these. I've moved across the country and took the bag out of the fridge and put it in my car cooler. Mind you, it's been 4 YEARS since I've bought these eggs. I figured I'd give them a go and see if they will hatch. Who knows, it could happen. And to my shock, they have hatched! The same hatch rate as before. Craziness! I see they aren't available anymore, but if they were, I'd buy from here again.

As advertised! no directions in box
Used for a science experiment with middle schoolers and it is marketed as it works. Only wish the directions came in the box instead of looking them up.

Not a good survival rate
I consistently use brine shrimp in my classroom, and we always hatch from eggs. Finding this bulk bag online with 2 day shipping- I thought I was in luck as science supplies do not provide that luxury. However, with the EXTREMELY LOW hatching rate I had with this batch, I won't be buying again. I'm not sure if eggs were damaged on transport or if they were subjected to the cold for too long, but less than 50% hatched

Great hatch rate!
I purchased the smallest bag just to try them out before spending a bit more, I was very pleased with the hatch rate, it's definitely in the mid to high 90% range. Takes about 24 hours to hatch, but it's well worth the wait

Don't buy if your baby fish are important to you!
First of all, I have been hatching brine shrimp eggs for the past year...so this is not a case of not knowing how to hatch them properly...actually have 3 hatcheries. I completely screwed up and got so busy at work I did not realize my brine shrimp egg stash in the refrigerator was almost gone. So my fault for overlooking that fact. Ordered as soon as I noticed, but this time figured why use Brine Shrimp Direct again that shows only a 80% hatch rate when I can get Vpoint with a 90% hatch rate and it can be here in 1 day?! So ordered the 4 oz....unfortunately just before a weekend so it did not show up until 2/11 on Monday. Batch 1 - nothing, even after 3 days. Thought maybe it had been too cold in delivery vehicle so tried several tubes on next run, still nothing. Great, completely bad eggs. So ordered another bag of the 1/2 oz, because they still ship the fastest and figured the first larger bag was a fluke. But I also ordered Brine Shrimp Direct at the same time. Again, all of this ordered on a Friday. This Vpoint 1/2 oz bag was only a little better. Instead of nothing hatching, it would between 48-60 hours, which usually indicates improper storage. I'm seriously wondering what the city has done to our water at this point and treating the tap/trying RO. The Brine Shrimp Direct bottle shows up a couple of days later and I immediately get those going. Same as before with this BSD brand....eggs hatching within 18-24 hours....no problem, no special water handling. Very hard lessons learned. 1-Don't lose track of your egg stash and order at the last minute; 2-Baby angelfish at only 2-3 weeks old can't really make it for 7+ days on powder supplements only (2 different kinds) - we lost 50% of our younger group and 25% of our older group!; 3-Don't EVER order Vpoint unless you have several weeks to try it out and time to get something else. Very upset with these guys!!

Hatched in 48 hours
The shrimp hatched in 48 hours. A LOT of them hatched. Almost too much for my needs. I used the Brine Shrimp Hatchery dish, water from my saltwater tank (8.30 pH), and a LED light (no heat/just room temp). I ordered the 0.5 ounce packet - which will last me a long time for my live fish food needs.
