Brothers in Arms

I bought this to hear the SACD version on my McIntosh SACD player. It is perhaps one of the clearest and best sounding Dire Straits albums. The mastering is very good and instruments separation and sound stage is fantastic.

This album is simply the best out of Dire Straits repertoire. Packaging needs to be improved. One corner of the vinyl outer cover has given way, damaging the beauty of the magnificent cover.Otherwise, prompt delivery.

Though not recorded originally in 5.1, album has been re-mastered faultlesslyPlay it on a well setup Surround system and this will blow you away. Diverting. Won't feel like switching off.Get a really musical fast subwoofer like a Velodyne or B&W sub or better yet get a pair.

It did give a nostalgic feeling listening to Dire Straits on vinyl. Enjoyed the experience.

Sound quality is quite good which isn't something I can say about a lot of cd's these days. Mark knoffler's voice comes on with a good depth and the guitar solo's just sing if you get my drift.

Lovely album on first place. DSD remastering is really good. Enjoying every bit of it.

ALL THE NUMBERS ARE FANTASTIC. AUDIOPHILE SOUND QUALITY. REMASTERED VERSION SO VERY BEST LISTENING PLEASURE ON A HIGH MUSIC SYSTEM.RECOMMENDED FOR ALL DIRE STRAITS FANS EVEN IF THEY HAVE BROTHERS IN ARMS CD IN THEIR COLLECTION AS THE REMASTERED VERSION IS WORTH BUYING.

I have a high end Cambridge 2.1 audio system with a REL sub and PSB Towers. The audio quality of this SACD is wonderful. If you have never listened to The Dire Straits", start here. Fantastic album.

A cheap SACD that does not come with a SACD case but a CD case. The art work is low quality as well. However it is an excellent Dire Strait album and is worth for the price. 3 stars for the case. 7 stars for music.
