This is a nice basic and functional ammo case. The lock fits well, and it's light but feels sturdy. It's strong and durable enough to be carried around even when filled to the top with 45 ACP ammo.

I have long used surplus metal military ammo cans for storage. I love them and they used to be dirt cheap at virtually surplus store for almost nothing. Today, they are less available and much more expensive. Living on an island off the SW coast of FL, I find my old metal cans rusting and getting more difficult to open. As I get older, they are also getting a lot heavier. I have started to replace all my metal cans with these plastic cans and the ones from Plano seem to be the highest quality for the best price I have found yet. I particularly like them for storing ammo boxes and other rifle and pistol associated equipment....things that normally don't get a great deal of abusive treatment. They are much more waterproof/water tight than I thought they would be and actually stand up to more physical abuse than I thought they would. I still keep a couple of the old, indestructible metal ammo cans for the hand tools that get tossed into the back of the pick up truck and bounced around forgotten for a few months in the weather and with other junk banging into them. But I am slowly replacing all of my other metal cans with these Plano boxes and have been well pleased with them for virtually all uses.

These seem better made than the Sheffield boxes. The clasp and lid feel a bit sturdier.

Ok box. Not real sterdy. But hay its plastic. 🙃FYI! All Model 1312 are the same size. This is the least expensive one.

Perfect for my needs. It fits 4x boxes of 25 shells, as advertised... BUT it also has room left for a 10-shell box like slugs often come in, plus a few loose shells if you need. I got 114 rounds (110 boxed and 4 loose) in here without any difficulty. It has the same rugged construction as my other Plano ammo boxes, with a solid clasp and a fixed staple for securing it with a padlock. And the ODG color matches them as well.

This is a nice, reasonably priced ammo container. It's made of pretty thick, durable polymer, with a very beefy handle, a snug rubber gasket running around the inner edge of the lid, and a tight lid clasp. It's "lockable," that is, it has a hole in it's front-edge lip to put a small lock through, making this can "legal" for transporting ammo in states where a locked container is required. But you should keep in mind the container is made of polymer, and the lock isn't going to prevent someone from, e.g., walking off with the whole container and/or busting the lock/lid off with a crowbar or pair of big pliers. It will discourage children and nosy friends/guests from getting into the box, but I would consider this more of a convenience container (to keep your ammo dry and carry a small supply out to the range, camping, etc.) than a "security" box. It's not very big ... about the same storage capacity as your average adult lunchbox. If you buy/store your ammo in factory boxes, how much you can store in this can will depend entirely on the configuration of the boxes. For example, I could only fit 400 rounds of Federal Champion FMJ 9mm (bought in 4, 100-round "value packs") in this particular container, but those boxes left a substantial amount of space around them. If you buy/store multiple calibers/types of ammo loose, in bulk, you'll be able to put more than that in this can, depending on the size of your cartridges. For example, it would be a great storage/carrying solution for shooters who buy ammo in bulk, and want a container that's a bit smaller, lighter and more easily portable than the big steel containers the ammo came in, for actually going out on their shooting trips. For example, you keep your big, heavy cans locked up at home ... you re-fill this can and carry it with you to the range or field. For that kind of use, I'd say this box is perfect, especially if you want separate cans for different varieties of ammo ... the price is so modest, you'll be able to buy multiple, matching cans without breaking the bank, and just mark the outside of each can to show what kind of ammo is inside. If the box is a good fit for your intended use, you'll be happy with the quality and features of this Plano container.

I love Plano products, so it's no surprise that it’s very lightweight yet durable, holds a decent amount, and the color looks great. They are stackable and have a small locking loop if needed. It does exactly what it needs to and is hard to beat for the price! Great value and reliability in one package!

Stockage de cartouches cal 12 avec des sachets de gel de silice. Son seul défaut est sa couleur qui donne l'impression qu'un peintre maladroit à œuvré à côté ! Mais pour du stockage c'est parfait.

Bonjour, Je recommande fortement, caisse à munition en plastique solide made in USA avec un joint torique pour une conservation et une étanchéité optimale. Possibilité de mettre un cadenas. Caisse qui supporte beaucoup de poids. Je stock plus de 1000 cartouche de 22lr dedans. Les caisses s'empilent les une sur les autres, j'en ai plusieurs. Deux caisses de ce type pour le prix abusif d'une en métal dans les surplus militaire ! Faites vous plaisir !
