Great for converting a Xbox one s to use a pic fan
I got this to use with my Xbox one s that had a failing factory fan(it wouldn’t speed up when the system needed it to resulting in sudden shutdowns which hid a power supply issue) After I got this and a quality pc fan the overheat issue went away and the system works great with this and a aftermarket fan. Best part is it’s plug and play. Now with the fan I’ve got in it it’s dead silent all thanks to this adapter.

works for it's intended purpose
Had to buy one of these as I was going to use a card from my last PC build in my new one, however the card wouldn't fit into the new case with the stock fan shroud installed. The card is a Gigabyte Aorus GTX1080 Ti and the case is an Ncase M1. Removed the fan shroud and fans from said card, used this adapter to plug the card into 2 Noctua NF-A12's in the bottom of the case oriented as exhaust. GPU bounces between 1850MHz and 1950MHz (stock speed is 1650MHz) at about 80 degrees Celsius. This is with a custom fan curve that ramps up to 100% at 75 degrees (these fans are quiet so its not really noticeable). Can't ask for much better in a small form factor build.

JUST the cable I was looking for!
Great construction with the sleeved cable. These cables have been an integral component since expanding to liquid cooling for graphics cards/GPU's. Being able to control the liquid cooling pumps helps extend the life of the motors, and it allows the user to connect a multi-header cable to control all the fans along with the pump... all through the video card fan control. I have found MSI Afterburner works best for the applications I have used, although Catalyst Control Center and SpeenFan work as well.

Used for an Unlikely Purpose That I Never Even Needed
Contrary to its intended use, adapting GPU cooling fans to PWM fans, I used this in a Corsair AX860i Power supply. It's worth mentioning that the internal header for the stock fan is this exact connector, and for reasons I cannot determine. I attempted using this adapter to allow a Noctua NF-F12 fan to replace the now-defunct Yate Loon fan. It worked well in theory, but in practice it was dismal failure because the fan control unit in the actual power supply was the source of the problem. Nothing more exhilarating than learning you have wasted money. At least I have yet another oddball adapter lying around in the very unlikely event that I need it. I will say, though, that even though I ended up not needing it, this adapter comes sleeved in MDPC and is extremely robust. Those who are likely to use this for it intended purpose will be pleased.

Does what it says on the tin!
This did exactly what I needed it to do. When I had a GPU fan bearing go bad, I could not bear the noise. So I slapped a 120mm fan on it and hooked it to the GPU with this adapter and it's much better now. My mount for the 120mm fan is a bit janky but this adapter is awesome and I would recommend it for anyone who needs the GPU fan header to control regular case-style fans.

Works perfectly, thank you!
This cable saved me big time. I have a Sapphire video card that has a faulty fan and just passed it's warranty period. As I started shopping for a completely new graphics card (yay for having to spend an extra $100 I wasn't planning on spending..) I wondered if I could just replace the fan myself. Thankfully I found this adapter cable that enabled me to do just that. I pulled the old fan off and used an extra 120mm one I had laying around. After some zap-strapping it on, the adapter did the rest of the work and has worked flawlessly for controlling the fan speed. Thanks for selling this here on Amazon -- it saved me $90~

you need a wire like this to connect the fan controls of a closed loop water cooler to a GPU.
Very utilitarian and functional. If using with a NZXT Kracken adapter plate you will want to attach this cable to the GPU before adding the plate. Reaching up and having to squeeze between the two plates to slide this in is not fun. If the adapter had a 90 degree angle for the female connection to make the attachment easier in a tight space it would be perfect.

Fantastic!
I used this for my Frankenstein-ed Gigabyte RTX 2080 Windforce. I could not stand how loud the fans would get while gaming, so I used 2 Noctua 120mm Redux fans (1700 RPM) with a splitter in place of the factory shroud/fans from Gigabyte. I tried using the motherboard to control it, but with the 3600x CPU staying so cool with the Arctic Freezer II 280 AIO, it was a chore to get the card to cool as well. That's when I found this and it's an immediate game changer. Can run the card at max clocks and it stays around 61 degrees C (70 degree F room). Prior, the 3 factory fans on the card would keep the card around 72-73 C and sound like a jet. Almost whisper-quiet and good temps. Win/win!
