Works well beyond video games
This CF003 adapter is perfect for Nintendo Switch as a much more portable substitute for its TV dock; it also works with other USB-C devices, such as MacBooks and iPad Pro.As other reviews (as well as the user manual) pointed out, the arrows on the adapter and on the included cable must align for it to work. While this may sound disappointing, because one of the benefits of USB-C is the reversible connector, its detachable cable design actually has two advantages: a) it is smaller than most other multiport adapters for travel, and b) if the cable breaks, you won’t end up with a useless adapter—just find another cable.Speaking of other cables, I tested the CF003 with 3 different ones:1) the included USB-C cable;2) a USB-IF certified USB 3.1 gen 2 (10 Gbps) Type-C cable;3) a Thunderbolt 3 (40 Gbps) cable. All of them worked—provided you plugged the cable into the adapter with the correct side up. For me, that means: 1) the arrow side of the included cable; 2) the logoless side of the USB-IF certified cable; 3) the Thunderbolt-logo side of the Thunderbolt 3 cable. The good news is this only applies to the adapter side—the console/computer side is still reversible.Build quality is also good for its price; its texture reminds me of my old HTC Hero—which is to say it feels nice, but could get fingerprints easily. But I guess who cares if an adapter gets smudges.

I love the ports selection!
I got this to use my switch at my desk at work during lunch breaks. it worked out great!I would recommend using your original switch ac adapter to eliminate any potential problems.Hdmi works perfect, my only problem is when i use it on my pixelbook. It won't send video over unless it senses the ac power going through it but i think that was the intended use case for the switch so i can't really fault the product for that. It's so light and small i'm quite impressed at it. i also like that it's not shiny, it's matte black and comes with a short type c cable, please take note of the arrows, those need to be on the top orientation of the hub.

Works Nice But beware Resolution
On a smaller TV, or using a HDMI-> VGA adapter on a smaller resolution monitor, this works phenomenally. However on a 50 Inch TV, the Resolution actually begins to get a little choppy. It's still playable, but doesn't look nice. This is likely because when docked, the Switch outputs 1080p, whereas when in portable mode, I believe it is only 720p, as such this adapter only outputs the portable resolution and not the actual docked resolution, resulting in slightly bad graphics on larger televisions and monitors. However, For a bigger TV, I simply use the dock. But when I get to work early, and want to kill some time, hooking it up to one of my 15 inch monitors is simply amazing. If only it worked with my S8+.

Saves Space and Works... Oh wait, not anymore 😔
I wanted an HDMI dock for my room so i didn't have to keep moving the original. Figured on one more portable. went with Cforce. Its TINY, Has extra USB 3 ports for charging, Really Everything needed in such a small package. saves Mondo space in my TomToc case, AND, It Works. The included cable has small grayed out arrows, These should ALWAYS be pointed Up or Out to work, as long as you do this, will work every time. Come On NINTENDO, think smarterUpdated *** 4 months, No longer works. Itll charge my phone or Switch, but will not project to the tv. Sorta sad, I really liked it while it did operate properly. I'm not certain I'll purchase another.

Works great, but better switch documentation prior to purchase would be nice.
Once you have all the pieces, this product works great. I bought it for using my switch on my computer monitor in a different room without having to buy another dock. I'm giving it 4-stars though because it is not very visible that you need a special wall brick to get the switch to properly display using this product. If you use any standard 5V 2A or otherwise wall brick (like you would for a phone or tablet) it will charge the switch, but it will not send it's display through the HDMI connection. In order for this to work you need a specific wall port capable of 15V 2.6A for the switch to recognize that it should go into "desktop" mode instead of handheld mode. You can buy these through Nintendo and other 3rd party sellers, but it would have been nice to know beforehand so that I could've bought them at the same time instead of having to wait another 3-4 weeks after initial delivery for the special charger to be delivered in order to try this product out for my use case.

Needs better documentation for use with Switch
It works fine. It really needs to be called out in the description and even emphasized that this requires a 15V 2.6A USB-C power input in order to work with the Switch. Other reviewers have pointed this out. If not for these reviewers, it would have been very difficult to figure how to get this working with the switch.

Did not work as advertised
Would not recommend purchasing, did not work with Switch or any other device as was advertised in the description. The USB-C cable provided was connected with the arrows pointed upward as shown in the pictures of the instructions. Disappointed.
