Good quality and need to size up
My daughter dances 4-8 hours during the week and is on the competitive team. She wears an adult size 8 consistently in converse, sandals, boots and she did need the size 9. We tried 8.5 and 9.5 also and returned them successfully. The shoes are good quality as they have just enough stretch and as new they did not hurt her feet. It is pricey and worth it because she wears them so much.

Great Quality and easy to clean
These are very nice and will last several seasons. Unless you’re buying for a fast growing teen Id spend the money to get durable leather shoes for performing.

Size UP!
These are much more comfortable and well made than the cheaper ones I tried, so 5 stars. But am exchanging for a full size bigger—these were only half-size bigger.

Accurate sizing
I originally bought this brand of shoe by going to a dance shop and getting fitted by the associates. Since I had never worn dance shoes before, I did not know how they should fit and trusted the experience of the clerk. After dancing a couple times in my shoes and comparing how my shoe looked on my foot compared to the other dancers, I figured my shoes were too big. I wear women's 11 street shoe, narrow the rare times it's available, and the dance store clerk had given me 11.5. This had me dancing with the seam of the sole right under my big toe. After reading the reviews of this product, I decided to brave going down a half size since I already knew the 11.5 was too big. And you know what? The 11 narrow of this dance shoe fits perfect, like a glove, just like they should fit. This type of shoe should be snug - the elastic in the middle holds the shoe on your foot and the leather will stretch for the shape of your toes. The proper size of this shoe fits much better now than the one that was a half size too big.

Cute and comfortable shoes, but size carefully
Sizing is kind of a nightmare for dance shoes -- we went through 3 pairs of shoes before we got it right. My daughter wears a 3.5-4 "big kid" shoe, and she wound up in a size 6 for this style. But, sizing aside, they are wonderful shoes and she's been very happy with them. Comfortable and flexible enough that she even wears them around the house just because she likes the way they feel on her feet. They look stylish too. As part of trying different sizes we ordered a similar pair from Danzcue, and the Bloch pairs seemed to be slightly more flexible and slightly better leather, and we preferred having the elastic on the side rather the top. So, if you can get the size worked out (and really, when in doubt, order up!!!), the Bloch brand and this particular style can't be beat.

Have to break in, but comortable!
Once I stretched out these shoes, they fit a lot more comfortably. When I first put them on, however, they were tight and hard to wear as the top of my foot was bulging out, and that's saying a lot since I don't have a lot of top foot fat. They are great for modern and jazz dance and even can be good for specific ballet numbers. Turn well on mylar dance floor or a stage and no hang ups. Great shoe, just have to break them in. Definitely worth the money and breaking in phase! Not good for arch support, but with the kind of dance usually required you are most likely used to not high arch support.

My daughter loves them and she said they are very comfortable. I bought those for her school dance class ...
My daughter wares a shoe size 4 1/2 and 5 so i followed somewhat the recommendations from reviews and have ordered the size 6. They fit perfectly. My daughter loves them and she said they are very comfortable. I bought those for her school dance class for jazz dance lessons. So far she had them only on at home and she kept putting them on to dance around in the house. They are shiny and fit very snug. She has some room around her toes but i think that throughout the school year i might have to order a size up. To be honest as they arrived they seemed to small to me but again they suppose to fit snug and they do stretch. My daughter has medium width feet.
