Quick tips. This does not use a choke cable so just dont even try to connect one. This does not come with a starter solenoid, just pick up a 2 prong starter solenoid at any auto parts store. Does not come with oil in it. Many reviews say they had to tap the motor mount holes, dont waste your time with this, just get a bolt and locknut. Easy install and mows a lot more powerful than the Kawasaki 20hp i had on it!

This was a perfect fit for my 2013 Ferris IS600Z using a legacy 44Q7775145G5 with 595730 Crankshaft. Working as it should. White smoke for about a 30 min. Box included (2) muffler gaskets with engine manual. No oil as expected.

Ordered a B&S motor from Outdoor Power through Amazon. Motor was received early delivery. Packaging was very well done. Motor came with everything needed to install. Unfortunately I had to return the motor the shaft was the wrong size for our configuration. Word of caution, the return process was difficult not because of Outdoor Power but because of Amazons third party return process. Outdoor Power was great explaining the return policy of Amazon.

Need to add a remote starter solenoid, does not have muffler or gas tank, really needs a low oil cutoff switch. Wiring diagram not provided with manual. Would be 5 stars if these items were included or suggested at purchase.

This engine was mishandled in shipment, the carton was damaged, all of the oil was drained and all over the box, evidently it had turned upside down during shipment. The plastic screen bolted to the flywheel was damage but seemed to have no effect on the engine. None of this was evident until I opened the container. I installed this engine (44S977-0033-G1 25HP) on an old 48" Scag replacing a very tired 20hp Kohler. The Briggs engine had the same mounting bolt pattern as the Kohler. The crank shaft dimensions were close enough for my pulleys and clutch. This Briggs engine come with electric start but has no solenoid also no muffler, I ordered a Swisher muffler #14391, came with gaskets (170 bucks), fit was good. This was not my first engine of choice but comparing cost, availability, it will do the job. It made this tired old machine like new and it is a beast. Very satisfied with the overall performance.
