No Monkey Business, Just Smooth Sipping
Monkey Shoulder is hands down one of the best introductions to Scotch whisky you could ask for. It’s incredibly smooth, light, and approachable, making it perfect for those who are new to whisky but still want something full of character. The flavour is rich with honey, vanilla, and a gentle maltiness, all blending together in a way that’s silky and easy to enjoy without any harsh edges. The bottle itself has a modern, playful design, with the three little brass monkeys on the shoulder standing out as a signature touch. It feels just as fun and inviting as the whisky inside. Where Monkey Shoulder really shines is its versatility. It’s beautiful neat (soft and sweet without being overwhelming) and just as enjoyable over ice. And if you like a longer drink, it pairs effortlessly with cola, ginger ale, or just about any mixer you can think of, always staying smooth and balanced. Monkey Shoulder isn’t just a great Scotch; it’s a whisky that welcomes everyone, whether you’re a seasoned drinker or just starting your journey. Easy to sip, easy to mix, and always enjoyable. This one is a must-have.

Smooth, Versatile, and Perfect for Mixing or Sipping!
Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt Scotch Whisky is an exceptional choice for both whisky beginners and enthusiasts. Unlike many blended whiskies, this one is made exclusively from malt whiskies, giving it a rich, smooth, and well-balanced flavor that stands out. On the nose, it has a sweet, malty aroma with notes of honey, vanilla, and light oak. The taste is smooth and creamy, with hints of toffee, citrus, and subtle spice, making it incredibly easy to drink. It has a medium finish, with lingering sweetness and a touch of oak. What I love about Monkey Shoulder is its versatility—it’s great neat, on the rocks, or in cocktails like an Old Fashioned or Whisky Sour. It’s smooth enough to sip, but also bold enough to hold its own in mixed drinks. Pros: Exceptionally smooth and easy to drink Rich, malty flavor with sweet and citrusy notes Great for both sipping and cocktails No overpowering smokiness, making it accessible High quality at a reasonable price Cons: Lacks the heavy peat and smoke that some whisky lovers prefer Slightly lower complexity compared to aged single malts Overall, Monkey Shoulder is a fantastic, well-rounded whisky that’s perfect for casual sipping or creative cocktails. If you’re looking for a smooth, high-quality blended malt at a great price, this is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

Great ingredients
My favourite blended scotch. Great ingredients, balvenie/ glenfiddich . Great as a sip but can be enjoyed with water or stones. Research the origins of the scotch name and be entertained.. must buy.

Nice whisky
Brought as a present, never tried it before but feedback from recipient was it has a bit of orange taste to it and is great when drunk with mixers or in cocktail. Very pleasant.

Got it at a great price

Easily the best blend you can get for the price. Mainly due to the fact that it's a blended malt, no grain spirit. So... Smoother experience. More refined oak notes. Less headaches etc.

Monkey Shoulder is a blended malt Scotch whisky that has gained a reputation for its smooth, approachable character and versatility. It’s a blend of three single malts—Glenfiddich, Balvenie, and Kininvie—crafted with a modern touch by William Grant & Sons. Appearance: In the glass, Monkey Shoulder reveals a warm, amber hue with a slight golden tint. It has a nice, inviting sheen that hints at its smooth texture. Nose: The nose is immediately welcoming with a delightful blend of vanilla, honey, and malted barley. There are subtle hints of dried fruit, like apricot, and a gentle touch of spice. It’s aromatic and layered without being overwhelming. Palate: On the palate, Monkey Shoulder is exceptionally smooth and creamy. The vanilla and honey notes from the nose continue, accompanied by a rich, malty sweetness. There are also flavors of toffee and a hint of citrus that provide a refreshing contrast. The spice is mild, with a touch of cinnamon and nutmeg adding depth without overpowering the palate. Finish: The finish is pleasantly long and warming, with a delicate balance of oak and malt. The aftertaste lingers with a hint of caramel and a whisper of smokiness, providing a satisfying conclusion to each sip. Overall: Monkey Shoulder stands out for its blend of complexity and accessibility. It’s a versatile whisky that works well neat, on the rocks, or in cocktails. Its smooth, balanced profile makes it a great choice for both seasoned whisky drinkers and newcomers alike.

Good mixer for cocktails, but also solid to drink straight, just don't expect too much depth in the taste
