Men's Stainless Steel Mechanical Hand Wind Railroad Style Pocket Watch # GWC14108S

I like this watch. I carry a pocket watch daily and this is my "every day carry" watch. I did have a small issue and Dave@Gotham instructed me to send it in. I did and when returned, this time piece has run almost as good as my Gotham battery ones. This is a very good watch. The weight alone indicates quality. I wind it in the a.m. and it keeps almost perfect time until the next winding. The dial and hands are easy to see and read. The watch is well made, dependable, and in my opinion, an excellent timepiece for work or normal everyday carry.

I've been researching mechanical pocket watches for quite some time trying to find a company that offered them at a reasonable price point while also producing a quality product. I believe I found it in the Gotham Watch Company. I've had this watch for a week now and the only time it has lost any time other than a second or two here and there was when I forgot to wind it. A second or two or even a minute or two doesn't bother me since I refuse to live my life on that tight of a schedule. I really like the overall appearance of the watch along with the size and weight. I also have an El Cheapo quartz pocket watch from China that doesn't hold a candle to this watch. This watch fits nicely in the watch pocket of my jeans and also in the watch pocket of my bib overalls. One thing I do find rather odd is the color of the hands. If I look at them head on, they appear to be black. If I look at them at a slight angle, they appear to be Cobalt Blue. Maybe it's my eyes, I don't know. I'm so impressed by the quality of these watches that I placed an order for a second one this morning. I ordered a GCW18801G for those "dressier" occasions. Now, if I could only master the fine art of hypnotizing someone by swinging it back in forth in front of them and reciting, "You are getting sleeeeepy...….." over and over.

This watch is a beauty and has been keeping excellent time. I haven't had it long but think it's great so far.

I've been running this watch daily for over a year. It runs a bit fast, gaining about a minute a week, which I can live with. It's been dropped once, on a tile floor, and survived. I changed to a pocket watch because as a Blue collar kind of guy I got tired of scratching crystals, and it I take my watch off when I'm doing "stuff" I'll never have a watch on me. This has worked great. If, it when it dies, I'll buy another

Has an easy to read display and keeps good time. Nice solid weight.

I bought this pocket watch tobbe my EDC. Right out of the box it was running a little fast. I sent it to Dave at Gotham and it was promptly returned. Mine keeps time within 7 seconds in a 24 hour period. Dave polite, knowledgeable and fast. Ibam ever grateful. The watch I chose has a classic pocket watch appearance. It isn't flashy. Nor am I. I wanted a watch that would remain "timeless", if you'll allow the pun. I am more than pleased with my watch and the level of customer service I received from Gotham. I actually plan to purchase another in the future. My next one will require a waistcoat, monocle and tobacco pipe. I'll make sure to speak with an aire of sophistication whilst I check the time. This is the best pocket watch I have ever owned. I have gone through many in my 50 years and this one is the only one I've found that holds up to my rough and tumble abuse. It's beautiful, keeps good time and has a certain heft that makes it feel sturdy as well. I really enjoy the winding, usually twice a day or so.

Have had this watch for about three weeks to check it out. I like the looks of the watch, sleekness, design, etc. It appears to be made pretty solid and with detail. However, it will NOT keep correct time. I am very familiar with wind up pocket watches. They are my favorite watch. I gave 2 stars for the craftsmanship and looks of the watch. All in all, a watch is made to keep correct time and this one DOES NOT. It doesn't matter how good a watch looks, if it doesn't keep correct time, it is useless. Maybe I received a ( not so good of a one ). I am considering buying another one to see. Understand that I am reviewing the watch that I received. I read a lot of reviews that says this brand does NOT keep correct time. Have read a few reviews that says it keeps perfect time. A second or so in a 24 hour span, would be acceptable. When it gains minutes in a 24 hour span, that's very much NOT acceptable...
