Will fit 1997 Civic CX hatch
Installed on My 1997 Civic CX hatchback. Quality part is decent, fits properly, does the job👍 Best bang for your buck.

So far so good
Been on the car for 6 months. No issues so far. Some people complain the studs are loose, mine were but I just tightened them before installing. But some people didn't. Tell me who's fault that is?

Perfect fit but installation may be difficult
The master cylinder fit my 1998 civic perfectly. If (like me) you're not a mechanic, be prepared. The actual installation is very simple. Removing and reattaching the cotter-pin to the clutch pedal may take some time. This is no fault of the master cylinder part. The attachment point to the clutch pedal is in a very awkward position. It requires you to lie on your back at an angle. FYI, as the area is so high up under the steering wheel side of the dash, a good light source will come in handy. I also used my smart phone to record video to locate the exact position of the cotter-pin for removal and installation, as it is difficult to see. Despite my installation difficulties, this is a great deal for the Do-it-yourself folks!

Worked great! The Honda on the other hand has issues with trying to bleed the clutch. Once we got that behind us, this master cylinder has been great!

Worked great the first 1
Worked great the first 1,000 miles, then within one day of driving about 20 miles, pedal went down to the floor. Fluid was leaking past the main seal. This is junk!!

I was impressed with the fit and finish of this part, it was significantly cheaper than most of the options so I was expecting it to show, well it appears to be of higher quality than the nismo one that was in the car, and best of all no more creak from a worn cylinder.

The size of the clutch line is too small doesn’t fit and no one makes an adapter

Just received it today and tried to install and the thread size for the brake line nut was incorrect. The OEM master had a larger nut than this new replacement. Item does seem like it could be of quality but annoying having to deal with some trivial differences in parts.
