got my 10 year Coleman Sundome & 6 year Timberland boots fresh!
i went camping & realized my 10 year old 6P Coleman Sundome had a stench in it when we opened it that had to go (it was a little embarrassing). now mind you, we had never cleaned out tent so this was overdue. I was close to docking a star for poor instructions so definitely do you research and reach out to GEARAID and the companies of products you plan to wash. don't do it after the fact and just get lucky like we did. leaving it 5 stars because the product really works well. we ended up filling up a bathtub & putting a capful (it's the *whole* cap, not just the circular screw part) - we threw the whole tent in & let it soak for 30 min. I made the mistake of using cotton socks on an 18 day adventure so I looked at the tub & just threw my Timberland boots in. Coleman apparently doesn't recommend soaking any of their tents as it damages the PU waterproof coating. GEARAID said if the coating is not gummy or sticky we should be fine. We've never had to use our tent in rain for the 10 years we've had it so this prolly went in our favor. at the end of the day, we pitched the wet tent in the garage and just let it dry. we were happy there were no toxic smelling fumes or fragrances - it was mild. it dried overnight & left the tent up another 2 days to be sure. The tent was very "fresh" smelling (defined as the absence of funk not fragrance!), I made a large repair to the pole sheaths while it was clean w tenacious tape and we packed it. I'll know for sure end of October when we pitch this bad boy back up what the difference is. for now, it feels like a cleansing of the past & glad cleaning the tent can be easy. now as for next time the tent needs a "deep clean", I think I'll just soak it 5 min (instead of 30) it worked great on my hiking boots - I let it air dry & no more funk coming from my boots anymore! now Timberland doesn't recommend soaking leather boots so I'll figure out what to do next time when the time comes. it's so nice to be in clean boots & they are already 6 years old & running strong! so if there is any morale of this story: soak at your own risk but it seems to work :)

Quality product
This odor eliminator does a good job of removing the stench from my dive gear. It’s effectively dealt with odors from weeklong liveaboard trips. A little goes a long way. I’ve also diluted it in a spray bottle to tackle stubborn odors.

Best for killing the stench of an unwashed raft guide
I've used this product for years. The bottle made it look as big as the old jugs I used to buy before the Gear Aid rebrand. It's not so big, but big enough. This is the only product that will tame my Chacos. I also used to use it on my hockey equipment and it was great for controlling that stench without causing respiratory issues like most odor control products.

Used to clean my lifejackets
I bought this to clean and deodorize my lifejackets. Easy to use and the odors are gone after 1 wash! It is a little pricey but it is concentrated. Worth the money!

Shockingly, it actually did a decent job reducing decades of musty smell
I got an old tent from a local scouts organization and it is probably 30+ years old. The poles had rust and repairs, the tent itself is stained in lots of places, and it smelled like it had been in an unheated garage for a decade. It was very musty, to the point where I couldn't really stand using it, even after setting it up and trying to air it out for hours. It's a nice quality tent, but it had seen better days. I used this product (as directed on the instructions), basically soaking it in the dilute solution in a bucket for a short while, then setting it up wet, in the hot summer sun, and drying it out ASAP (to avoid damaging the sealants). At first, I didn't notice a huge difference, but after it just sat out for a while, it lost about 90% of the musty smell. I thought it would work faster than that, but it really required a few hours of sitting and drying, but the smell was almost gone, and the tent is usable again.

Works okay in the washer, but added to the "funk" when used as a diluted spray.
I bought this product to treat my heinously sweaty climbing shoes, but found that it really just made the problem worse. You know that scent that's half sweaty feet, half wet dog? Well, after using this product, I'm certainly familiar with it. I diluted the product and doused my (washable, non-leather) climbing shoes pretty heavily, then left them in my garage to dry. When I checked on them and found them surprisingly funkier than they'd originally been, I sprayed them down again and left them in the sun to dry, hoping the UV would help to shrink the stink. Unfortunately, this was not the case, so I gave up on treating my climbing shoes with this product and instead used some in the washer when cleaning some backpacking gear. In this case, I felt like the product was successful at reducing/removing odors from synthetic materials (though these materials were never too stinky in the first place). I do think this product works, it just doesn't seem to work well on certain materials (namely rubber and nylon). If your goal is to de-stink some running clothes or camping gear that can run through the washer, I think you'll be satisfied. If you want to remove the funk from gear that can't be machine washed, you may be disappointed, as I was.

Esto no son enzimas y bacterias, esto es magia del mismísimo gandalf. Es increíble que este liquido elimine cualquier olor a la velocidad a la que lo hace. Lo dicho magia, vudú o algo parecido.

This did not remove the odor from my work cloths as it seems to have no effect on oil based products like engine oil and fuel.
