TANGRAM Factory Smart Rope - LED embedded Skipping Rope - See your fitness data in MID-AIR

I bought this smartrope recently, and have now had about a month of usage. The thickness and stiffness of the rope were something that I had to get used to in the beginning, but after using it three times this was no longer an issue. The same goes for the led-lights embedded in the rope: they appear in a flash each time the rope passes, and only after I got used to the rope was I able to see the display clearly. Since then the smartrope has been working perfectly, with no signs of wear and tear so far.

Good concept but sadly build quality isn’t there LED. lights stopped work after 4/5 weeks. I use it for my K1 warmup and I roughly skip for 20min 3/4 times a week and this product looked ideal to keep a record of my skipping but after 4 weeks or so LED’s started fade I thought maybe needs charging but battery was full. And now only 5 LED’s comes on which doesn’t really display anything. Like I said good concept but quality of the build isn’t anywhere near for someone uses it so regular and fast skipping

This rope is such a fun way to workout and really motivates me. I love the app that connects with it. It gives you recommended workouts, awards as you improve and you can even compete with your Facebook friends. The rope itself is of good quality and turns around very smoothly.

LEDs no longer work after a month of use.

So far so good. Delivered as promised, it’s a lot of money but if you want to have an easy way to record exercise and money is not the driving factor you need to buy and appreciate the benefits. It’s a pity wear on some surfaces can be a problem but plastic on tarmac/concrete/gravel the rope will lose. Nothing lasts forever I skip on a polished tile floor and still see damage so only time will tell. Having USED the rope I have lowered my review to 3* because the extra price for the LCD display that I have been incapable of reading under any light or dark conditions makes it an expensive gimmick. The picture does not show that the width of the rope in the LCD area is pronounced so may be a problem for some. The extra weight of that area may be considered helpful in rotation. The handle covers are to my mind a gimmick as I don’t have any grip issues. For me the App makes it worthwhile as I can skip and let the technology link to my other sports Apps to accumulate exercise and health data. Pity it doesn’t pick up Heart Rate Monitor info.

Very good product, service also excellent.

£80 not wisely spent. Too heavy and feels like doing skipping with an extension cord. LED lights also dont work outdoors. Used it and so cant send back but honestly will just sit on the shelf and replace with more conventional rope.

Love the rope although the jump count sometimes appears behind me (not sure how to fix that) and the smart gym app has a tendency to disconnect from the rope which inadvertently throws off the jump count. I love the concept but the technology needs improvement.

Within 2 days stopped working. Just buy a regular jump rope. Not worth the hassle to return.

Good quality looking forwards for the enhanced version of interchangeable led sheet and adjustable length of rope. Truely great motivation to exercise

Wir hatten uns wirklich auf das smarte Seil gefreut, wurden jedoch leider bitter enttäuscht. Das Seil ist für ernsthaftes Rope Skipping bzw. als Sportseil nicht nutzbar und für völlig überteuert für die gebotene Qualität. Durch den dicken LED Schlauch am unteren Ende entsteht beim Springen eine Art "Unwucht", welche das Springen nicht nur unangenehm, sondern beinahe unmöglich macht. Dazu kommt das Material des Seils, welches sich selbst beim Springen verformt und einen flüssigen Sprungablauf (wie man es von einem üblichen 10 € Sportspringseil kennt) verhindert. Nette Idee, aber leider unbrauchbar.
