The Professional (The Game Maker Series)

MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS - I loved everything about this book! We've got a very hot alpha-male Russian henchman - Sevastyan (Sebastian with a V), aka The Siberian. He runs hot & cold & although it can be frustrating it is worth it to the reader and Natalie to see this through to the end & get to know the real Sevastyan. Natalie is a doctorate student in Nebraska searching for her birth parents after finding out she was adopted from a Russian orphanage. The only disappointment I had with this book is that the reunion between Natalie & her sweet clockmaker father is short lived. The majority of the book is dealing with Natalie's sexual awakening to BDSM, seriously the hottest book I've read on the subject because it hit me on all cylinders! I see from other reviews that it wasn't a book for everyone but OMG I found Natalie & Sevastyan's chemistry crazy hot! And when the doting father wants Sevastyan for his daughter Natalie we get a lot of holding & sweetness & cuddling - I was with Natalie on this, WTH? You can't give kink & then take it away. In every sense of the word Natalie was made for Sevastyan & they click. For one thing he has no idea how to date a woman & gets very possessive & overwhelming. But he also can't share his true self in fear that Natalie will run & he can't live without her. I completely understood Natalie in these moments when her body is so in tune with Sevastyan but she can't be with a man who doesn't share his whole self, proven when she finds out what he's been hiding. There is a beautiful moment when Sevastyan opens up to Natalie & she stays & loves him even more deeply, she doesn't want to change him, she want to share his burdens with him. Loved the story, loved the characters, found Sevastyan super hot especially when he's very naughty - good God the things he does to Natalie are the best I've ever read! And yet he would whisper sweet things in Russian, he was really a softie wrapped in a hardened shell. :)

I do wish I had read this one first but stumbled across The Master first and enjoyed that one VERY much. My favorite was absolutely the last of the trilogy but all are certainly worth reading. They are all quite spicy and if you don't like any BDSM in your books you should move right along to a different series. There is a good character development through the series and as I mentioned the last is the BEST, with quite a surprise ending, but it won't be as impressive without the back stories of the first two.

Holy mother of all that is freaking holy!!! The Professional is one of the hottest and when I say hottest, I mean HOTTEST books that I have ever read. Ever. And I read a lot! Kresley Cole has outdone herself with this one. Ah-ma-zing. . . When Natalie decides to find her biological parents she is in no way prepared for what ends up finding her. Turns out her father is not only Russian, and completely magnificently loaded, he's also a top dog in the Mafiya. After discovering Natalie, he sends his number one enforcer, Sevastian? to the U.S. to watch her and keep her safe. When a threat develops, Sevastian? does what he is ordered to do, he forces her onto a plane and brings her back to Russia. This book has it all, in fact I am in love with this book. It's kind of perfect with everything that I crave in characters, and chemistry. There is so much happening from the very first page all the way to the epilogue, and all of it is spellbinding in only the way that Kresley Cole is capable of doing. Sevastian? is my new book boyfriend, I love him to freaking pieces. He's so so so HOT. But he's so much more than that, he's complicated, damaged, a beautiful dark soul that pulled me in and never let me go. I completely understood why Natalie felt the way she did with him. Natalie is so delightfully fun, she's hilariously funny, she deals with what is going on around her really quite well and her instantaneously outrageous attraction to Sevastian? is devastatingly richly weaved. I adored the chemistry between Natalie and Sevastian? there is just so much about these two together that I loved. When they fight, their banter, the emotions surrounding them both, the deeper they fall into each other, and the harder they fight not to - it's gorgeous. And the sex. Holy crap, the sex. Kresley Cole has a way of writing sex that will blow your freaking mind. It's so hot, but it's so wrought with emotion that it just drags you in deeper and deeper. I've been a faithful reader of Kresley Cole's from back in the day when she was writing historical romances, then she went into paranormal and now this - and this book. It shows how brilliant of an author this woman is. One of those perfectly delicious reads that compels you to begin reading and not quit until you reach the very last page, I am in love with this new series and Can. Not. Wait for more. I've read The Master before The Professional, but was highly anticipating to read Aleks and Nat's story. Brought together under difficult circumstances, the chemistry is pretty damn hot between them right from the beginning. Although they try to fight it, Aleks more than Nat for some very honorable reasons, they can't stay away from each other long. And when they get together? HOLY HECK! Aleks knows some very kinky tricks that leaves your panties drenched and twisted, and your body begging for more. A tragic event has them on the run and stranded in Paris. They discover hidden desires, but there are still secrets that run deep and could destroy what they have build so far. Nat is one strong woman that doesn't take s*** and tries to save her sanity and heart. Aleks is that big bad Russian that is hot as hell and vulnerable like a baby. I didn't wanted that book to end as it had me hot and on the edge.

I was so so when reading the cover but the story and everything was.........so good,worth the money and the time you spend reading it!!!!!!!!!!!

Another Kresley Cole winner! So hot and steamy. Bad boy meets good girl gone perfectly right. The story line is enticing, the attraction of the couple is exciting and the story line is intriguing. All around great book. If you liked the Immortals after dark series this has all the good stuff of those book just about normal people.

Omg, this was action packed read with everything, ultimate bad boy, father issues, adoption, abuse, violence, love, passion, bdsm, wealth and story of survival.

Have not finished this book yet, but until now, I like it. I recommend it if you love spice, as it does have some scenes in it. 😉
