Make sure your radio is “Satellite radio ready”!
Make sure you have a Sirius / XM radio marked as “Sirius/XM Ready”! The manufacturer claims this is “The BOMB!” for easy installation, and it really is, directions were straightforward and simple enough, and it worked perfectly straight out of the box! I have been an XM and/or Sirius customer since 2001 and will continue to be one for the foreseeable future. This model is EASY, everything fit perfectly, reception is excellent, if you want satellite radio without having to get the “factory” radio (with the “Factory” price tag”), make this your satellite radio receiver!

Easy to connect
Receiver works well. Easy to connect. Take your time placing/installing the antennae. While I know the manufacturer "suggests" where to locate the antennae (roof) I decided to try what was easy first and thus far it's been a success. I have an older model Camry 4-Dr Sedan with a relatively flat trunk lid which is where I opted to place the antennae. I placed the antennae centered on the trunk lid at a point closest to the back window with the wiring facing the back windshield. I fed the wiring up under the trunk lid and used zip ties to anchor the wiring to the underneath side of the trunk lid and down the hinge (I opted for the passenger side) and then began to feed the wiring through the trunk and under trim work until I reach under the passenger side of the dash where I secured the receiver and connected the wiring. Things to watch for using this location for the antennae are 1) Will I experience any interference with the stock antennae in the back window of the car? 2) Will there be an instance when I have a weak signal because the trunk lid is blocked by the roof? 3) Will the trunk lid pinch the antennae wire that I run under the lid between the car's molding for the trunk? Thus far I've had no issues with the signal and I see no signs of the wire being pinched. What I like about this location is it required no mod to the car and no major work of removing and reinstalling a window seal. I also like that if "for whatever reason" I want to conceal the antennae I can simply open the trunk and put stick on the underneath side of the trunk lid until I am ready to use again. Such an example would be an automated car wash where I might want to tuck away the antennae until I am done. If I follow the suggested installation I can't do this. But best of all the installation was simple. I'll keep it this way until I start experiencing issues.

Works EXACTLY as intended.
Works EXACTLY as intended. I've purchased at least a dozen of these of the past several years - HUGE commercial radio fan & I LOVE the Sirrus/XMRadio line ups they have + the quality of content programing is hard to beat. Kinda/Sorta need Sirrus/XM Radio in my cars - one of my top three "must" haves when I'm either look @ a new car - or used - if it ain't got a Sirrus/XM Radio option - I pass on it ...

does what it says and is plug and play
When I saw “SiriusXM ready” on the radio box, I thought, “Awesome, plug it in and let the music roll!” Nope. Turns out “ready” actually means “ready to spend more money.” So here I am, buying an extra antenna just to unlock the feature I assumed was included. The antenna itself? Solid performance, easy install, and it has a magnetic base — so you can slap it onto anything metal (I stuck mine on the windshield frame). A double-sided sticky pad would work just as well if you’re feeling crafty. Now I’ve got all the glorious satellite channels I wanted… I just wish they came without the surprise shopping trip.

It was very easy to install and works as described
I purchased this along with the Pioneer 4000NEX and iDataLink Maestro to swap out my factory radio that already had Sirius. You should know that the receiver you mate this with needs to be SiriusXM ready, not Sirius Ready or XM Ready. It was very easy to install and works as described. I'm getting Album art on about 30 - 40% of the songs... it has more to do with the data being sent then the capabilities of the receiver. As my Ford factory radio already had Sirius I was curious if I could use the old antenna. This way I wouldn't have to mount the new one that comes with the unit and go through the hassle of routing the wire. You can. The old antenna fits right into the unit. All you need to do is remove the plastic connector cover at the end. I did it with a pair of needlenose pliers with hardly any effort. Then just insert the antenna into the V300 and tape up the part that the cover protected / shielded. Works like a charm. I've noticed no sound fidelity increases / losses from my previous Sirius unit. Sirius and SiriusXM packages are not 100% the same, however. For example, you have to get the AllAccess package on SiriusXM to get the NFL Channel. Its on the cheaper Select package at Sirius. Its a nice unit and I'm glad I picked the V300 over the V200 for very few dollars difference.

Great add on
Great addition for my my jeep radio. Works great, easy to install if you have some basic knowledge of how to remove and replace your radio.

Great Features (Album Art)
I purchased this for the new features. One of the new features is album art. Thus far I have found that SiriusXM has done a poor job actually sending the album art. I've probably only seen it on about 20% of the music listened too. Perhaps it takes time for it to cache to the tuner, if that changes I'll report back. All the other features work as advertised. Overall happy with this tuner, which I have connected to a new Pioneer AVH-X5700BHS. Update 3/26/15 I am not sure what SiriusXM has done, but I noticed starting today that almost 100% of the music now has album art. This has vastly improved since I initially purchased this tuner. I have seen several negative reviews about this issue and apparently this finally caught the eye of someone to deal with it. So, with this change I will move this review to 5 stars. Update 8/22/15 I've had this SiriusXM tuner now for about 6 months. It still performs well and I am very happy with it. Channel change quickly and channel art was recently updated with the channel changes on August 13th. I also love the fact that this tuner with an All Access Subscription gets the additional 20 SiriusXM Xtra Channels. The album art sometimes takes a bit to load, but most songs do present with album art now, so this is a vast improvement over the first couple of months that I started using it. If you have a SiriusXM Ready Head Unit I highly recommend this tuner.

Very easy to hook up
A very easy hookup that required no tools for me. The antenna easily mounts magnetically on the roof... very strong magnet there. The wire goes in under the rubber seal on the door, ran the wire behind the stereo and just plugged it into my Sony XAV-6000 unit while it was off. After that and signing up, it found the signal to activate it within about 5 min. Sound quality is pretty decent as well. But it required no wire cutting, no splicing, etc. The unit just had a DIN plug into the stereo and the antenna plugged into it and attached to the car. It couldn't be simpler. Plus, with the subscription, I get the stations on my phone as well. This will be really nice on a road trip where I don't have to deal with bad reception and a short range of about 50 miles for a station in each area... I hope to take this on a long car trip by next year to Canada and hope to test it further with reception.
