Hankey Bannister Heritage Blend Scotch Whisky, 70 cl

This superb blend was a favourite of Winston Churchill back in the day, and thanks to the efforts of master distillers this lost product has been recreated from unopened bottles. Exceptional value for money, beating a great many more expensive blends and single malts in terms of flavour. This is one of my go to whiskies. The flavour profile is complicated and not too challenging. It has a little bit of that 'blend graininess' and slight 'sickly sweetness', but it more than compensates for this. The finish is not too bitter and harsh like many similarly prices single malts and blends. Nose: slight peat smoke and lots of fruity sweetness Palate: mild smoky taste with aniseed and continuing honey and fruit Finish: not super long but not too short either, pleasant sweet aftertaste without too much bitterness, lingering mild smoke

This whisky is from top gear and so thought this would be great - no shock, it is!

Molto buono, un bleded ma gustoso edi corpo. Sembra un prodotto superiore, non sbaglia chi decide per l'acquisto. Bottiglia graziosa che ha un fascino retro. Io l'ho apprezzato liscio anche senza ghiaccio.

Ante todo comentar que no soy un experto, simplemente comento mi propia experiencia personal. Me ha sorprendido gratamente ya que no me gusta el humo en el whisky, soy fan del irlandés, speysidey y highlands. Pero este Hankey tiene dulzor, humo leve y ese picante de los 46 grados que lo convierten en una excelente relación calidad precio. Me ha gustado. Ahora probaré el 12años.

Pur non essendo un amante dei whisky tradizionali (preferisco i bourbon) questo blended mi pare molto buono, anche tenendo conto di averlo preso in offerta a un buon prezzo.
