Beatuiful!
I love this Homespun yarn! It's so soft and is beautiful, especially in a simple pattern with a small stitch. I'm using Pearl to make a baby blanket for someone who likes neutrals and this is perfect, especially for a girl. The yarn has a subtle luminescence like a pearl that's just gorgeous when the light hits it. That said, I would use this as an external blanket, i.e., not as a receiving blanket or a crib blanket (unless baby is wearing pajamas) but more like a stroller/car blanket, where the blanket wouldn't touch baby's skin directly. It's soft but still a little rough for a baby. Which is why I'm also making an afghan for myself, lol. The variety/selection of colors is great as well. And I love the way the variegated colors fade into one another, the change is gradual and looks beautiful. I have several colors selected that I plan to purchase for future projects. There are a couple of things to be aware of: 1) That while this yarn doesn't shed, some colors do pile (e.g., 236 - Celestial Stripes). While it can enhance the beauty of the yarn/project (looks more heathery which is nice for capes, scarfs, etc.), the brilliance/intensity of the colors may become muted especially if the stitch is large/loose. 2) The texture of the yarn is bulky which requires additional control especially depending on the stitch so some don't recommend this yarn for beginners. I don't think it matters, just make sure you have a K hook or larger depending on how tight/loose your stitch is and test out a swatch of the stitch you're planning to use to make sure it will work. It literally took 6 attempts with the Celestial color before I found a pattern that didn't cause the yarn to lose it's sheen and brillance. It's an absolutely beautiful blend of teal, turquoise, blue, purple, dark pink, and a light yellow/green and smaller stitches best maintain both otherwise the texture will mellow and become more heathery as you work with it. Still beautiful, just a different look to be aware of if you use it. Interestingly, I didn't experience this with the Pearl color so it differs from color to color. Homespun has become one of my go to yarns when I'm seeking a bulky yarn. I highly recommend it.

Perfect yarn
This is the softest most beautiful yarn. Great for a baby afghan.

Hard to handle, but finished product looks good
This yarn has been discontinued by Lion Brand. I had purchased three skeins from a local shop at a deeply discounted price, then found I needed a fourth for the project I was knitting, so I bought this (more expensive) one from Amazon. Anyhow...the extremely thin fibers of this yarn are NOT twisted together. Instead they are tied together at intervals by a very thin thread. The effect is somewhat puffy, which I like. The problem, of course, is that it is very easy to split the fibers making up the strand and/or to catch the needle on one of the threads. Working with this stuff takes some getting used to and a lot of patience, to say the least. I very much enjoyed the way the colors transition into each other and the knitted fabric is very soft. I'm not crazy about the shine, but it's not a deal-breaker. If I can find more of this yarn in a different color combination and at a healthy discount, I'd buy it again.

Nice yarn
This is a nice textured yarn and easy way to manage. The colors are beautiful. It’s a bit expensive, though.

Nice yarn for specific projects
Nice yarn. Did not come all tangled like the same one I bought at the craft store.

I Love this yarn. I made my daughter's hat and scarf out of this yarn (and the grey one Edwards too). Very warm, and very easy to work with. The seller (Supermart) did a great job shipping as well. In proper packaging, and it was fast. I am very impressed. Will be purchasing again! <3

Second time I have done a knitting project with Lion Brand Homespun yarn. Love the soft feel and the gradations of colour. The yarn can be a little tricky to use as it is twisted and has a "bumpiness" to it, but worth the effort, in my opinion! Works up beautifully into an afghan. I used Lion Brand pattern 60684 "Catch the Wave".
