looks and durability.
Gift for my daughter. She borrows mine all of the time and I thought it was time she had one of her very own. So versatile and used for so many dinners and parties.

Matching a collection
I was trying to match a piece from my mother's old collection. It was just a tiny bit larger than the original. Her piece didn't have the handles, but the handles are a nice feature.

Love it!
I LOVE this dish. So pretty, so versatile, and really easy to clean! The lid seems very fragile, so I’m really careful when washing it or handling it, but it’s held up fine so far.

A little disappointing but looks like it will do the job
The pot looks fine but the top looks a little cheap and fragile. The glass lid does not have a metal border ring and seems flimsy. My fear is breakage or chipping . I will have to be very careful when handling -especially when washing.

Disappointed
The dish is great but the cover was not protected and the handle was completely broken off!

Glass lid exploded in oven
I purchased the CorningWare French White 2.5-quart Oval Casserole with Glass Lid from Amazon in January 2024. I used this item several times with no problem. Today, Easter Sunday., I made a sweet potato casserole that I baked at 350 for 35 minutes. My timer went off and I turned to get my pot holders and heard a noise. I thought a pot or pan had fallen in my cupboard. When I opened the door of the oven, the glass lid had exploded. There was glass all over the potato casserole and bottom of oven. I did take a picture of it if you would like me to send to you. Needless to say, casserole and what remained of the lid are being picked up with our garbage Monday morning.

Perfect Size with a Lid
Was looking for a casserole dish with a lid. Have many casserole dishes that always need foil on top when cooking or re-heating food. Size mattered. Was hard to visualize what 2.5 qt. looked like. Pictures of 2.5 and 4 qt looked identical. In fact the picture of the 1.5 qt looked even bigger. So I did see a 1.5 qt in the store and realized that was too small and had a better idea of the 2.5 qt and 4 qt size. The 2.5 was the perfect size for the two of us.
