First impression is a solidly built compact device offering two tools useful to emergency services workers. The design offers these tools in an easy to hold, non-slip frame. The slots in the frame both reduce weight and provide excellent grip when wearing rescue or fire gloves.The spring-loaded carbide tip window breaker works effectively and smoothly. This provides a much safer method, both to the rescuer and the vehicle occupant, as compared to the swing of a “safety hammer” type device or an often used wrong tool, the halligan bar. An additional benefit is that it is considerably smaller and easier to carry than one of those “safety hammers.”The folding seat belt strap cutter is sharp and well designed for ease of use while providing adequate protection. It also works well and is faster than shears on cloths, including leather jackets but is not quite wide enough to handle a heavily lined jacket or coat.The one recommendation for improvement is that I wish it had at least one of the 12 slots (preferably one on each side) that were shaped to act as an oxygen bottle wrench. In my opinion that addition would make this a truely outstanding compact tool for EMS.Bottom line: As an EMT, it does it's tasks well and plan to continue to carry it. I feel comfortable recommending it for field use.

This rescue tool is very well-built and functions well. It can be easily carried on your person or in a secure area of the vehicle where it can be easily accessed in case of emergency. Many newer vehicles have active seat belts which tighten upon impact. A friend had this happen in his vehicle and he could not easily unbuckle his seat belt in a moment of panic trying to get out. This tool would have taken care of that issue.

When I went to the mail box, there was a brown bag taped up. I thought ok maybe they needed to save money by skimping out on the box.. I took it inside opened the brown bag and to my surprise, they had just thrown in a used broken tool. The glass breaker does nothing, the spring dosnt operate, only way this one will break glass is if I throw really hard at the window.. next the pocket clip is bent to a 90 degree angle forming an L and cant get it to go back to the way it was so the clip is useless. The seat belt cutter is so dulled out it wont even cut a piece of paper, looks like the played with it then broke it and said "What the heck we will sell it any way, what do we care, its not like this product will be used to save any lives." Total waist of time and money, dont waist yours... move on to another listing

The exact product I was looking for and by a reliable brand. A spring loaded/press for glass and seat belt cutter. Plus, the clip let's me put it on the bottom of my seat belt. It's always in grabbing distance and doesn't interfere with pulling out the belt. Love it.

Smart to have when in a car

This simple tool does exactly what it says it will do. I tested the seat belt cutter on several nylong straps and an old junker seat belt and was able to slice through without too much difficulty. The pin window breaker shattered a laminated piece of glass similar to auto glass.

Mine came with multiple pins not tightened appropriately, and one missing the screw side of it.
