Vector Mechanics for Engineers: Statics and Dynamics

It was written "good" condition, but it was very good condition. I was happy.

Got this book at a decent price. I was supposed to buy the latest edition, but my class uses this 10th edition so I got this instead. Surprisingly, the pages were easier to flip through than with other hardcover textbooks.

The kindle version of this text does not display any of the greek characters correctly in the actual text. This makes it difficult to put together some of the concepts and corresponding images, and is making an already difficult class that much harder. As far as the content of the book is concerned, it's not very easy to digest on your own, but it is thorough.

It's a good book. It does provide some examples to explain the concepts. Just note that those are not step by step guides to solve all the problems because well that wouldn't be useful in engineering. It introduces the topics, goes over derivation of formulas then explains how to apply the formulas. But in the exercises you need to figure out how and which formula to use. Because setting up a problem promotes critical thinking and problem solving skills which this book does a good job at. I used this book for a sophomore level engineering class so just be advised that you do need to know the required mathematics which aren't too bad and are mainly used for the derivations. Overall it's a good book but could be improved

This book was a great deal as it was both Statics and Dynamics in one book, and it provides clear and understandable explanations for the topics.

great info for my engineering class

It didn't come with the Connect password for my class. So I had to pay for it, which costs just as much as the book.
