A neat little gadget, exactly what I needed. My old SD/MicroSD reader packed in a while ago, and I needed a new one to clear dashcam footage on a MicroSD, and read old SD cards for files. It was as simple as plugging it in and getting straight to work, with a speedy reading/deleting time. It's a sturdy and sleek design with a nice little clip to attach should you ever need it on the go. The lids covering the USB and USB-C are smooth to come off and go on too. Overall a handy little product that was worth the money.

I purchased this to transfer images/video from my devices to my laptop whilst on the go. First impressions. The build quality of the item is nice, it feels like it has a quality element unlike others I have used. So far I have used a variety of SD cards both standard and Micro with no reading issues or errors. The caps on the end are a nice touch to protect the connections. They fit on securely and are unlikely to come off accidentally reducing the chance of you losing them. All in all it’s very easy to use, works with no issues and seems compatible with all the main brands of cards. For the money it’s a great buy.

So, this worked and worked well. But there were two issues I had. The first was not the device but the phone interface for transferring files. It took me a while to realise that Android phones don't typically (if ever) have an option to share files directly to an external device, but can through the file management system. I have an old Samsung S8, and photos from the gallery cannot be sent directly to an external (attached) device. For that, it required me going into the file management system ("My Files") and do it from there. A pain, as bulk sending can't be done from the phone which was the reason for my purchase (again, phone flaw, not device flaw). However, I returned this item due to my second irritation: I have a very thin phone case, barely more than a skin, and this wouldn't plug in deeply enough with the case on to make a connection. I had to remove the case each time. And that's just not happening!! I purchased another better-known make and their's worked with my case. The good things - the end caps seem secure, it worked with my SD and micro-SD Cards, worked instantly with my laptop, and did connect to the phone. It also comes with a mini strap so it can be attached to a keyring. And it's cheaper than some other brands (was £2 cheaper than my replacement) but maybe there's a reason for that.

Bought this to transfer photos and videos from my phone and camera, to my computer, and visa versa. I chose this item as it has the USB stick to connect to my computer, it has the USB C to connect to my phone (iPhone 15) and it has the option of using a normal card reader and a mini card reader so I am able to transfer video from either my camera or from my dash cam in the car. Very simple to use simply plug it in and it will instantly show up on my computer desktop or in my iPhone photo storage. It comes with separate dust protectors for the two stick ends, it is very small and compact making it easy to store away when not in use. It seems sturdy and well-made. You may need to remove a phone case to be able to insert the USB C into your phone. In my opinion for the money, you will not find a better storage transfer to use. It’s been completely perfect for my needs. Great value.

Purchased this card reader for travel use as my new MacBook Air doesn’t have a built in card reader and my desktop USB multi port is too large for backpacking. As always UGreen product are of the highest quality, well built and great design. This little card reader has the added benefit of coming with both a USB and USB-C connector Highly recommended.

Probably works fine but would not fit my iPhone and iPad without me having to remove their protective cases. Returned to Amazon and purchased an almost identical looking 'Acer' card reader, which can be used perfectly without removing protective cases (but a tad more expensive)..

Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass ich mal eine Rezension über einen Kartenleser schreibe – aber der Ugreen Kartenleser hat mich wirklich positiv überrascht. Ich habe ihn eher ohne große Erwartungen bestellt, nachdem ich mit günstigen No-Name-Lesern schon einige nervige Erfahrungen gemacht hatte. Hier war es komplett unkompliziert: Einstecken, Karte rein, fertig. Sowohl am MacBook als auch am Windows-PC wurde er sofort erkannt – kein Treiber, kein Herumprobieren. Die Datenübertragung läuft schnell und vor allem stabil, auch bei größeren Foto- und Videodateien. Die Verarbeitung wirkt hochwertig, nichts wackelt oder fühlt sich billig an. Er ist schön kompakt, fast schon so klein, dass man aufpassen muss, ihn nicht zu verlegen. Am Ende macht er einfach genau das, was er soll – zuverlässig und ohne Drama. Genau so sollte Technik sein. Klare 5 Sterne.
