Samsung ML-D2850B Compatible Remanufactured High Yield Toner Cartridge for ML-2850 Printers - Black

UPDATEWe used this for pharmacy school, printing text and Power Point slides (four to a page, toner-saving mode) for about three months total (subtracting the winter break when it went unused), and we only got about 1000 pages. At that point, the cartridge started jamming and printing only half-pages for a day before dying. Replacing the cartridge with an original Samsung (almost five weeks ago now) returned the printer to trouble-free performance.I did contact theTonerPals, and they tried to help by offering a replacement. However, when I found the cheapest return shipping would cost $13 (from either UPS or USPS), I decided to cut my losses and go back to using original Samsungs. I simply did not want to pay that much shipping to take a chance on more trouble.If you do the math for our particular situation, sticking with the original comes out to a better per-page cost--plus less hassle. Of course other users may have better luck!Despite the bad luck or quality control, what I wrote below originally still stands:The toner quality is very good, though there is a very slight difference from the original Samsung toner. With this aftermarket toner/cartridge, if you scartch the printed text hard with your fingernail, the toner will come off eventually. But you have to really scratch hard and for a while. With the original Samsung toner, the text is in the paper just like print in a good quality book--in other words, the original Samsung produces text that cannot be scratched off with your fingernail.

Works...leaves a bit of light banding...

I installed the new cartridge and the printer jams. When I put the old cartridge back in the printer worked fine. I contacted the seller's customer service dept and they are sending me a replacement cartridge.Update- the replacement cartridge arrived and the printer jammed again. For some reason my printer is not agreeable with the cartridges this company uses. I contacted the company again and they offered to refund my purchase price even though I was beyond the Amazon return date.

We have used this cartridge for several months now, with no problems. Would definitely buy this again. Great price and quick delivery, instructions were easy to follow.

This is a COUNTERFIET 2850-B. Internally, it identifies itself as a B-High Yield cartridge, but in fact will give (barely) the performance of a standard, low capacity cartridge.Since Nov. 2014, all the V4Ink-branded "B" toners purchased on Amazon have in fact been standard capacity, lasting less than 2000 (versus 4000) pages, and about 20 days (versus 40).Don't get ripped off.

The original cartridge sent was not compatible with my printer. When I contacted the seller they eventually sent a cartridge that worked. This experience led to my printer being down for a month. The final cartridge is working fine.

Extremely pleased with this purchase. The replacement was a perfect match for my previous Samsung toner and it was much cheaper. Received it well within the timeframe they said it would ship. I will definitely buy this again next time!!

Upon removal from its packaging it sprinkled toner everywhere.Then it wouldn't slide into my printer. One of the protruding metal button contacts on the side of the cartridge was surrounded by plastic in such a way that it could not depress the corresponding button contact as I slid it into my printer. I had to shave the plastic down to form a ramp so that it could slide all the way in to my printer.Once installed, it printed about 300 strongly ghosted pages before it reported that the toner was exhausted. At that point, I, too was exhausted from the extra work and poor print quality to deal with it any further. I'll pay the premium price for the real thing this time.
