Dakota LOVES these
I have a Shiba Inu puppy, Dakota, and she LOVES these! They are not very "puppy-sized" so I cut them into quarters for her. They are excellent quality and great for training! I will not use any other treat with her...these are the best that there is when it comes to treats. I usually get the chicken flavor for her. Perfect for Shiba training and I would highly recommend these to any owner looking for a high quality treat that is quite reasonably priced. I would only ask that they include more treats in the package and that they make them available at pet stores so I do not always have to order them.

Dog likes
My dog has a sensitive stomach but can handle these. They aren’t super crumbly, which is nice when you need to hold some or bring them along on a walk, but they can be broken into smaller pieces and split nicely. Overall some of the more convenient treats we’ve used.

Good way to focus your dog
My trainer recommended this product to sprinkle into a snufflemat with a verbal cue to distract him from barking at outside noises like other dogs. It is easier to shred and sprinkle for that application than other dog treats I use on outdoor walks, for example

Too Big but Pup loves them
I have a Shiba Inu puppy and we are working on obedience training. The pieces are too big for a puppy and are difficult to break into smaller pieces. I have to take a knife and try to cut them down which really limits how often she gets these treats since they are a hassle. She does really enjoy the taste of these though.

Treat texture is a little odd. But still fans of Open Farm.
First, Open Farm's small breed kibble and freeze-dried raw products have been literally life-changing for my Yorkies with sensitive tummies. LOVE! So we tried the company's dehydrated treats too, and the reaction has been a little more so-so. On the positive, it's nice that the 1x1" treats are scored so that they can be broken into smaller pieces. And true to Open Farm tradition, the ingredients are wholesome and healthy. But for some reason, the texture is off-putting to my pooches. It's hard to describe. The pieces are definitely not crunchy. Nor are they spongy or airy like freeze-dried chicken treats. And they're definitely not soft and chewy either. Some pieces are somewhat flexible, but they're mostly hard and brittle, especially around the edges. Since this was our first bag, we're not sure if this is the normal texture, or if this particular bag was a little "old." Either way, my dogs chewed and ate these gingerly, without their usual enthusiasm for treats. So despite being huge fans of Open Farm dog food, we'll likely stick to other brands of healthy snacks.

Great for picky pups!
My dog decided she didn't like treats anymore. No matter what I bought, she refused to eat them until I found Open Farm chicken treats. She goes crazy for them!

My dog loves these
My mini dachshund loves these in all flavors. They are very small so I give him a few and he's happy!
