Another Awesome product!
So Far is awesome, Tips for those like me that are not buying any DVD reader or CD reader or any reader, after you install you OS go to ASUS and download all the drivers for the motherboard, I have the Intel Core I7 and I didn't need to install the new BIOS because it was already upgrated but if you need you can also do it there in ASUS, the Drivers are more for the Bluetooth, sonar, sound integrated card, etc, I have not installed mines yet jaja even though I can see devices with my bluetooth and will pass files super fast, the wifi go is magnetic ! I didn't know I could put it in the metal part of the case and it looks so natural ! , also do not try to bend the wifi go hardware, you have to twist it , if you try to bend it you may break it. The OC console is really cool, but I have not tried to overclock, so far I have not needed to, it goes so fast that I was surprised at the beginning, also they don't tell you that it has a red string on the motherboard that you don't see until you plug your Power Supply, it will look better in a transparent case or in a case that has a window, I don't have one of those, but my case is pretty cool so I don't mind jaja and Remember it DOES NOT have an integrated graphics card, when I was done of putting all together I went to put the HDMI cable and it comes up that I needed a graphics card... yeah ... jajaj And I think that is pretty much it if any questions ask me !

The flagship for high-end gaming motherboards
ASUS delivers. I bought this and installed it in 2014. So this is a review with 2 years of usage behind it. This thing has not failed me once. It is the perfect MOBO for your monster gaming rig. I put an i7-4930k, 980 GTX, 16GB DDR3 1866 RAM, 1TB Samsung SSD, and top-of-the-line Noctua premium cooling fans. That's right - all air cooled. My CPU rarely goes over 40c, even when I'm multitasking while gaming. It actually takes a hot day in the middle of the summer's worst heat waves to push my case temps to 40c+. Now, that's obviously mostly the fans and the case, as well as user upkeep, but the MOBO definitely helps keeping CPU and GPU temps down. The features of the MOBO are true to the advertising. The built in wifi works reliably great, and the onboard sound card is on par with some of the more expensive dedicated ones you can find on the market to this day. A great buy for a gaming rig.

Shipped to me defective and support was terrible.
I purchased this ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition/AC4. Windows never detected the WI-FI GO! card that ships installed on the motherboard. I opened a case with ASUS technical support. They required me to remove the motherboard to do some maintenance. They had me to remove the heat sink covering the WI-FI GO! card in order to remove the WI-FI GO! card and reinstall it. Also they had me to remove the CMOS battery to clear the CMOS out. They had me to use electrical tape to mask the back side of the motherboard to make sure no grounding might be occurring. Then reinstall the board. After all this Windows still did not detect any new hardware and the WI-FI GO! device never showed in Device Manager. ASUS Technical support said to return the motherboard to the reseller because it is defective. I informed ASUS the WI-FI GO! card is encased in TIN shielding and the shielding seems to be holding the WI-FI GO! card too high so the card is unable to completely seat into the special socket on the motherboard. ASUS technical support said its noted in the case and have a nice day. I said hold on I have one more question. I asked if it is possible to make a junction for a single file in the ROG RAMDisk software that ships with the motherboard. The ASUS technical support person told me ASUS policy is they do not support any software, even ASUS ROG branded software. Then he said will that be all? I said their support was not too good and ended the call. Latest update 01/12/2016. I've been running Windows 10 Pro x64 for a while now. The upgrade didn't work after a lot of messing around I just clean installed it. None of the ASUS drivers and specialized software work with Windows 10. So no more fan speed controls, no over clocking software, no speed charger (AI Charger)... all those things don't work with Windows 10. ASUS just left this motherboard behind for the dead.

Problems out the box
I really wanted to love this motherboard, or at least like it, and I actually do, but... I encountered a strange glitch that could not be solved--it would not 'shut down' through the OS, have to do a hard turn off. I refuse to call ASUS since their customer service department is no longer top or mid-range quality, but full of non-technical people without a clue about manners. I have been using ASUS products, especially their motherboards for over fifteen years, and the run of bad luck I've had with recent purchases of two motherboards leaves me to wonder about their commitment to us builders; the quality control is seriously lacking and their customer service has vanished. Call me nuts; but I just purchased a third board hoping I get lucky. If not, I'll be selling ALL the parts and calling it quits on building computers. A waning customer.
