For my entire life I've been breaking up my ground beef the old fashioned way, with a spatula. Just go to town on that ground beef and take your aggressions out but it's time consuming and hard on your arm if you're doing a lot. I will sometimes use a potato mashed if I'm using a stainless or cast iron pan but can't do that with my nonstick. I saw this gizmo on a cooking show and wondered if it worked as well as it seemed to. I did a little research and it was all positive so I ordered one. How in the heck did I go all these years without one of these??? Holy Guacamole Batman...this thing breaks up ground beef or sausage like a magic wand in comparison to the old fashioned way. It's not often I come across something I've never heard of and it actually works but here we are. You can use a normal straight up and down movement to break up the ground meat which works very well but where this thing really shines is going straight down and giving it a little twist at the end. Repeat as needed. It's very fast in comparison to the spatula method and it's pretty fun as well. I can't recommend this enough, it's inexpensive, fast and fun to use. Let's face it, breaking down ground meat isn't fun so anything you can do to make it faster, easier and more enjoyable is a win. I haven't used this for other things like mashed potatoes but I am looking forward to seeing how much of a multi-tasker it is. Even if it doesn't do anything else well it'll still be worth buying.

Great and durable. It has survived multiple washes in the dishwasher and no sign of cracking. Does a great job breaking up ground meat in the skillet. The material is also sturdy and not flimsy. Im not afraid im going to break it if I push too hard.

This is a great kitchen utensil. It will destroy a piece of meat if you want tenderize you’ve got it. I use it often.

I’ve also used it for mashing potatoes and it works just as well without scratching my nonstick pans. It feels sturdy, easy to hold, and cleans up without any hassle. Overall, it’s a simple but super practical tool to have in the kitchen.

Perhaps it's not worth a devoted tool, but I sure do like how effectively this breaks up clods of hamburger compared to poking them a thousand times with a spatula.

Certainly makes braking mincemeat and sliced onions easier. So impressive that I bought one for my daughter. No dislikes.

I'm not one for extra gadgets, but this does a surprisingly good job at breaking the meat up while it cooks. Seems durable.

Fuken great

Was a bit dubious about it when it first arrived and now I use it almost daily. Great for blending minced meats, herbs etc. Made Xmas stuffing a doddle to do and is great for breaking up mince meat in the pan. It's made of sturdy plastic and is easy to wash. Wish I'd known about it sooner.

Fantastic for breaking up mince meat when cooking - wish I had known about this item sooner. Price is right too. Even my husband used and liked it and he isn’t one for trying new items I purchase:). Don’t find it so great for mashing potatoes I will stay with my potato masher. But this is hands down the best item for mince meat - highly recommend.
