Why did you pick this product vs others?: Works as intended. Long enough for most flasks 2l or less. Larger size flasks might be too tall.

I work in a lab and we use stir bars in jars to mix solutions, and getting the stir bar out while the jar is full can be difficult. With this tool , you can just stick it in and the magnet on the end will attract the stir bar for easy removal. It has a good price for something we use so much in the lab.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Picks up stirrers, but it will work better if the stirrer is pushed out of range of the magnet in the stirring machine or best remove it when the container is no longer in contact with the magnetic stirring machine.

Magnet could be a little stronger... It doesn't move spinbars through glass very well, it would be nice if I didn't have to submerge it every time. But hey, that's why I got this thing, because it's submersible :P Such a handy tool!

There's nothing like fishing out a stir bar with gloved hands, or trying to slide it up the inner side of the beaker with another magnet. Just plop this guy into your vessel and you can keep the icky stir bar a safe distance ready for cleaning.

Use this to retrieve magnetic stir bars from the bottom of beakers and flasks. Works as advertised. Used daily for over a month now, so far so good. Zero issues to report.

I really like this product, pulling magnets out of mixes and beakers is a pain; but with this Magnetic Stir Bar Retriever it is easy. Changed my life; I do recommend the Magnetic Stir Bar Retriever.

Nothing special about this rod, works perfect, magnet is stronger than the mixer one so stir bar don't get stuck at botom of the container, Was clean out of the box.

It works as expected. Sure, a stronger magnetic pull would be better, thus not having to immerse the wand in my suspended solution, however it does what I need.

It does what it needs to and is quite handy, but it would be nice if the stir bars could be pulled out of the solution without dipping the stick all the way in.

Works as expected and pretty good for the price.

Good magnet in there, I use it in 1000ml beakers at largest and could probably retrieve the stir bar from much bigger beakers I just don’t require that size for my projects, I test soil so this gets pretty dirty after getting the bar but once you wash it up it turns out crisp white still.
