Faux tin tiles for my backsplash.
I’ve been redoing my house which is 80 years old. I used these as a kitchen backsplash. The tiles are a thick plastic material that I glued to the wall. They were easy to cut with kitchen shears but very sturdy. They add great vintage feel.

These tiles look like the real thing
We took a chance with these. And glad we did! They are beautiful , light weight. Easy to cut. We ordered the glue that was recommended. We couldn’t be more pleased with how this turned out. And they were 1/5 the price of tin.

Love these!
Installing now in my very large, lime green kitchen with red island and antique white cabinets. I ordered silver. These are not high gloss. They are a soft, satin sheen. Looks great in coordination with my stainless steel appliances. Beautiful design. So far no damages or imperfections found with the tiles I have opened. They arrived well packaged in bubble wrap to prevent damage. Color is even throughout the tiles. These provide an antique Victorian Gothic type look to my kitchen which is what I was going for. They would also look great in a contemporary designed kitchen. I will likely use in a bathroom as well. I ordered the Instagrab blue the manufacturer recommended and found one tube of glue with do about six 2'x2' tile for a popcorn ceiling placement.

How to use these with a Drop In Grid ceiling
We loved the design, but the tiles were only available for a "glue up" ceiling style. So, what do we do? MODIFY! First I trimmed 1/8" off all the edges to reduce the tile from 24"x24" to 23.75"x23.75" (soooo much fun). Then I cut 1/2" foil-faced foam board (from a local home remodeling store) down to 23.75"x23.75" and glued the PVC tile to the foam board for stiffness so it doesn't sag in the middle. For the tiles around the edge of the room, I had to trim the tiles. The easiest way I found was to use an abrasive blade for masonry in a radial arm saw - it was like a hot knife thru butter! Clean, fast cut thru the raised surface. Using a utility knife will just leave you upset...trust me. Remember to trim the PVC tile for the opening in the grid, but cut the foam board about 1/2" extra wide on the cut side so it can rest on the grid ledge. (see pix) I also painted the extra 1/2" edge before gluing so it wouldn't be noticeable if my cut wasn't perfect. For cutting holes in the middle of the panels for the lights, I used a small abrasive wheel on a hand-held rotary tool. Trust me, blades will catch on the PVC and go in a direction you REALLY don't want them to go! And a saw blade will pretty much destroy the thin PVC tile.

Great look, good quality, hard to cut
These tiles look great. They are a great quality and quite expensive for plastic. however, I found it difficult to cut them with a utility knife. You almost need to have them warmed up and use a very sharp pair of scissors. I would not recommend using a knife as they will crack.

They look way better then I thought they would
They are a bit hard to get perfect but look great and are light weight.

Easy to install and looks fantastic!
This material is extremely easy to use and install. You can cut it with scissors or an straight edge knife. We applied glue around the perimeter and then dots in the middle. My husband left a small gap around the edge of the room and we put up crown molding. Everyone who comes in thinks it is painted stamped tin. Tv
