The pictures may not reflect the true transformation, but the oil really did make a difference. A very light and pleasant smell. The wax went on easily, but warming it a little bit helps as well. Seems a little bit of wax goes a long way and will last much longer than the amount of oil received. The oil enriches the wood grains of all species. The walnut and purpleheart appear with a much deeper color, but the lighter species of cherry and maple will darken as well. Other shoppers have noted their lighter woods becoming darker and this is obvious in the stock photos of this product. I don't think of it as a negative aspect, rather it's to be expected. That said though, any cutting board oil should have similar results so I can't say that this is superior or inferior to any other product. I provided this review on the same day that I applied the product so can not speak on behalf of the durability of it.

Works great on butcher block tops. It also enriches the look of the butcher block by enhancing the color

Love love love this oil and wax. Very easy to use and does not leave a residue or stickiness after. Leaves a smooth finish. A little goes a long way making it a great value for the money. The smell is a light citrus and smells lovely.

I love the scent (Lavender). The products are top notch.
