Thai Wet Tamarind Pulp Block Seedless Cock Brand 16 Oz.(Pack of 2)

I've liked tamarind ever since my mother brought me some when I was growing up in NYC. She would buy both sweet and sour boxes of tamarind. Back then they didn't sell the convenient wet blocks that are sold today. I've brought several different brands of tamarind on Amazon & I've come to the conclusion that this brand is one of the best. The tamarind wet block rarely contains any seeds or string. It does contain what appears to be the pod shell particles but regardless it's clean enough that I freeze it and cut it into small candy like pieces so that once in a while I'll pop one in my mouth for an all natural sour fix. I use it for cooking, juices and frozen ice's. I usually put it in luke warm water & then I strain it to remove all the particles. It does take some work but its well worth the effort. I consider this tamarind to be authentic the taste is amazing & I highly recommend it.

I have bought this 11 times because somewhere in the course of using it, my GFR shot up from like 53 to 69. In addition to that, it may have helped clear the Cataract in my eye so I have some vision again, and I no longer suffer from Gerd. I'm continuously pursuing antioxidant therapy and tamarind is high on the list for all the goodness it contains.

really good. 2 pounds. I was a little worried about the way it was cleaned and packaged. so, I crushed everything in a big pot and took out left over seeds and skin, which is just a little, and boiled with enough water so that it would not burn but enough to purify it. I felt safe getting rid of the impurities. I really enjoy it. The consistency is not watery because it thickens. I really like it. I recommend it. the truth is, I really dont cook with it, I eat it by the spoonfuls. TART. and a natural laxative.

I made an amazing tamarind jam with this, but be aware it is sour not sweet. That’s what I wanted but it looks like others may have been confused when ordering.
