I was honestly shocked about how nice this set is. Expecting the cheap plastic & hollow feel we're used to, I instead found a solid & completely functional set up. Every piece has its own place & the makes it easy for the younger kids. The scoop & everything actually works like it shows in the pictures. Theres also a very solid clear plexiglass like cover over one side giving it that real ice cream shop esthetic & feeling. It's sturdy & built to be passed down through the family. Even the menu & fake money are so well made. It was well worth the $10 difference over the other options. My daughters (8y,11y) loved it from first sight. They have a blast opening up shop everyday. It doesn't look or feel like it was made on an assembly line, but by someone who cares about the quality of both the physical & imaginary experience. Truly 5 stars

My 3 year old autistic child can quickly lose interest in a toy, but not this one! She loves her Melissa & doug ice cream shop! The ice cream scooper functions as intended, and all the pieces fit snug and stay together nicely! She never loses interest in this very well designed toy. It doesn't cause frustration or meltdowns for my little one- Compared to similar toys which use weak magnets to hold the ice cream cone together poorly. My child loves that when stacking all the pieces up high it does not fall apart. It eliminates the frustration factor many ASD kids struggle wish, creating space for imaginative play! 5 stars. I highly recommend this product and wish I purchased it sooner. It has a high price point, so I waited for it to go on sale. But don't let that detour you because like other Melissa & Doug products you truly get what you pay for.

We got this for Christmas for our 3.5yo. She LOVES the menu and likes to take our order and get "paid". She loves the whole process and it's been a great toy for teaching about ordering from a menu, paying for food, etc. Everything seems pretty well made and neither our 3.5yo or 1.5yo have broken any part of this yet. I'm really happy with this toy and it's been great fun for toddler to early pre-school age.

Worth it. Scooper/Ice cream helps with basic motor functions and learning potentials such as counting & real life experiences. Items are sturdy and durable.

This ice cream set is adorable! Keeps my kids busy for hours. They love serving me ice cream and making it as tall as they can. The wood set is very well made and sturdy. The scooper is easy to use and the ice cream fit easily in it. I like the toppings but I think the ice cream with sprinkles could look better.

My son just turned 2 in February & this ice cream counter has been a huge hit. He recently has become very interested in pretend play. He loves making us different ice cream cones. It has actually kept him entertained for more than 2 minutes. We’ve only had this toy for 24 hours & he walked around with an ice cream cone all day yesterday & it was the first thing he was looking for as soon as he woke up. The toy itself is beautifully made. Easy to keep all the pieces organized & easy to store away for toy rotation — it’s just the right size. I highly, highly recommend this toy!

This ice cream center is high quality and has provided hours of play in the short amount of time owned. This is my almost 3 year olds favorite toy. She loves the menu and taking ice cream orders. It is great for creative play, but also memory when she makes orders for other people. Only one ice cream scoop isn’t tight and falls off of the cone easily, the rest are very secure and easy to stack.
