fits 2012-2014 Kia Rio / 2010-2013 Kia Soul Flip Key Fob Remote Case Shell (NYOSEKSAM11ATX)

The ONLY issue i had was closing the the new shell after assembly. It worked perfectly and my old key fit inside this shell as well, and the new uncut key will be saved until i need a new one cut. The old transponder fit perfectly and had no issues with the item itself, whatsoever. Notes: - If your old key fob says "KIA" on it, it is the factory fob and may have a tiny black chip that you will need to move to the new shell. - If your old fob has a tiny screw on the back, save the screw just in case, my new one didn't need it but better safe than sorry. - Make sure your transponder is working before assembling new fob. If your transponder doesn't work, then you need to buy a working one from the dealer or locksmith or you wont be able to start your car. - Make sure you WIND UP the key-spring ONCE or it wont pop out when you press the button to eject the key. FYI, i am no mechanic but I have experience with keyfobs and circuit boards.

It shipped really quickly and came nicely packaged. I watched a quick YouTube video on the process and within about 10 minutes I fixed a problem thag plagued me for years 😂 The hardest part was getting my old fob open because it was so old, but once that was done it was super easy to put in the pieces and snap it all together. Like others have said, the new hinge button doesnt fit but swapping the old one over works just fine. Overall I highly recommend!

We have had our original one for 13 yrs and were well worn. I purchased these to see if they would work. Hubby had to use several tiny tools to complete the process but they work great. He watched a video before hand.

Worked great once I watched a video or 2! If you take it apart yourself, my only recommendation is to open it in a plastic bag. The key portion has a few little springy parts that can go flying. Some people report that the spring button for the key does not fit properly- mine didnt fit but since I saved the old spring and button I was able to just use those. Mine came with a screw, but did not have a screw hole to put it in. Not sure if its supposed to be missing the hole, but it snaps shut and holds without the screw! Just know that taking apart your old key WILL destroy the plastic shell. So once you start, you cant stop

This was for a 2013 Kia Rio5. The buttons on the old keys were rubber and had completely rotted/torn away. The only difference was the new key case has a screw peg and screw to fasten the case together. The case coming apart with the old key was a problem, so the screw in the new case is a good thing! It was super easy to get the old case apart and remove the circuit board. The transponder must be on the board because that's the only thing I needed to move over to the new case. I was able to reuse the old metal key part (it has identical shape and spring as new key) so did not need to get the new ones cut. It took about 15 minutes to replace the cases on both keys just because getting everything lined up without the circuit board getting loose was tricky. But once I got the screws in they were solid! I reused the old battery covers because they had serial numbers on them, and they fit perfectly snug on the new case. The dealer quoted me $280 to fix one key, so spending $10 on two here was the deal of a lifetime!

Note: This is just the plastic case and blank key. The product's website helps you find a locksmith to program and cut the new key. However, only the case on my 2013 Kia Soul FOB was broke, the circuit board and everything else inside was fine. So, in my case, after watching several YouTube videos , I was able to take apart my broken FOB and transfer the old circuit board and old key into the new case. Granted, I am not the most graceful person doing detailed work, so I accidentally shot the spring across the room and scared the crud out of my cat who leaped into the air and grabbed the curtains and swung across the room tearing them down into a ball. Then he picked the spring up and took off into the living room with it. After chasing him down I managed to trade catnip for my spring, and was able to successfully install my old circuit board, spring and key into the new case and it works perfectly! No programming or locksmith necessary, although I did need bandages from wrestling the spring away from my cat. I suggest you watch several Youtube videos and try to lock your cat out of the room before you begin work.

One of my husband‘s clients had two sets of keys to her Kia and both sets of keys had pretty much been worn down so she was unable to lock her door with her key fob. I told her I would order the fob and come and switch out the mechanism within and her key. So the first one was actually quite easy to switch out but the second one I actually had to take her key home because I didn’t bring enough tools with me to complete that task. It wasn’t this product. It was her old key fob that was giving me the fits . However, all in all if you have a key fob that just needs to be replaced out no key cutting and all the mechanisms and electric work on the inside of it. I would definitely recommend doing this. Kia had quoted her astronomical fee just to switch it out and , we purchased the product and was able to switch it out for less than $20

The fobs were as described and work well, however some kind of instructions or link for a video would have been nice to have. I did find a video someone had done for similar covers that did help. I have the ability to change them no problem, but the original ones are bonded together and have to be destroyed to get them apart. I know the old ones are going in the trash, but not knowing they are glued together makes it challenging to figure out. Otherwise seems Iike a great product

Ça marche super bien , il faut ouvrir la vieille clé et récupérer la carte qui sert au verrouillage/déverrouillage , mais il ne faut pas oublier la petite pièce qui réussi à transmettre le signal de la clé, je sais pas si c’est une puce ou bien un aimant, c’est difficile car c’est collé au fond du trou, avec un grinder et une lime j’ai récupéré la pièce et installer dans la manette et ça marche #1

It's not as simple as they make it look. You will need codes for the chip, and for key cut. The spring was missing from one of the fob. Not a happy customer.

When we bought a used 2011 Kia Soul recently both fob/keys were in bad shape. One was held together with a rubber band and when I transferred the electronics to these new cases I learned the other had been glued shut by the previous owner. The key on that second fob broke right out of the swivel block which prompted this repair. Although they claim to be compatible with my vehicle it turned out the key blanks were completely different to the original keys so I couldn't use them, but it was fairly easy to reuse the old ones. On the one with the broken swivel block I had to use a ground-off finishing nail to remove the tiny roll pin in the new block and fit the old key into it, which required a bit of reshaping of the shank with a small triangle file. In the end it fit like it was made for it but if your aren't handy it might be a problem for you. If your old swivel blocks and keys are intact your can just transfer them over as is for a quick repair with no need to get a locksmith to cut the new keys. Unlike the old cases, these ones are held together with a tiny screw, not just friction, so I don't expect them to fall apart anytime soon. Contrary to some web sites I read in preparation, my 2011 Soul DID have the transponder chip in the old cases, so they had to be moved to these new cases for them to start the car. They are glued securely in place so this isn't very easy, but there are YouTube tutorials that tell you how to extract them and install them into the new cases. I also transferred the old Kia logo badge from the back of the old fobs as well as the metallic product label, which required a thin spray of 3M #77 since the old adhesive stayed on the old cases. The oval recess on the back where the badge goes is a bit bigger than on the originals so there is a little space all around, but it looks fine if you place it carefully. Two turns of the spring when assembling the case halves and it responds to the release button just like a new fob. The end result looks, feels, and operates like new. I deducted one star because the key blank was not correct for my vehicle.

This is a shell replacement. If your mother board is damaged then this will not work for you. When you open up or break open the old key fob watch for two very small peices a black and a white one. Make sure you put the little black peice and white chip back in the top corner where the flashing light is. That is your chip!! Your car will start but not stay running without these :) open the old key fob in a zip lock bag to contain all the little peices (we thought those peices were broken from the old fob. But they were the main chip haha) i also had to use my old button as the button that was included was not long enough to sit through the fob. I asked for a refund cause it didn't look like you could open the new one up. My dad figured it out :) I just sent a message to cancel the refund and return. Thanks so much saved alot of money!!! This was for a 2013 Kia rio :) old keyfob had busted buttons missing buttons. 10 years old and the original!!
