My 5 month old is so in love with this adorable book! I was able to snag this book on an amazing lightning deal not too long ago and knew it would be perfect for my little guy. He's just starting to show interest in toys and seems to enjoy things with a variety of textures and colors- and this soft cover book doesn't disappoint! There are multiple activities to help you engage with your baby and lots to see and touch to keep them interested. Each page is a new adventure with ladybugs and leaves, puppy dogs and a great big elephant that has a mirror on his blanket. The fabric of the pages feels like a silky poly-blend and the creatures all have some sort of feature or add on that makes them unique. My guy's favorite is the crinkly leaf! Obviously we're loving this book for ourselves, but it would also make a great gift and comes in a cute box that would make it easy to wrap.

This soft book for newborns is wonderful. There are no tear-able pages or little parts that can come off, and it's washable (air dry only). My 3 month old granddaughter loves to be read to, but here's a book that she can safely handle by herself. I wish I had a pic to upload, because she was intensely interested! There are no words, just cute things to look at - and touch. I'm sure she'll discover the squeaky feature, raise a flap to see something different, and other simple 'activities' very soon. HIGHLY recommended, love of books can't start too early.

This is one of the nicest baby books that we own. I have a two year old and a 1 month old and it's perfect for both of them. The cloth is very soft but still sturdy and it washes up nicely if you have to throw it in with the laundry. The animal fur is so soft and inviting for little fingers and the crinkly interactive pages really keep them interested. The pictures are bold and bright and the wording is simple enough to keep the kids involved while mom and dad (or older siblings) read to them. I'll definitely be buying more for baby shower gifts!

What a cute book for a toddler that you don't have to worry about getting torn or dropped. "Just Like the Animals" presents cute animals in bold colors in simple ways to entertain and engage your young child. Each page has a different animal with a suggestion to find an interacting action that is sensory led: soft fabric on the puppy's head and ears, squeaky button on the mouse's ear, rattle around the cat's neck, crackly sound to the leaf hiding the bird, finger holes in the ladybug and octopus, crackly starfish, soft monkey and mirror on the elephant. The book come with a little carry strap that will encourage children to take their book with them to enjoy over and over again.

I got this for my three-month-old baby who loves it. He has started flipping through the pages now that he's four, but when he was three he loved loved hearing the squeaky sound of the mouse and hearing the cats little bell, he loved chewing on that crinkly leaf covering the Bird and the mirror on tre last page. The colors are really nice and vibrant, the baby brings that book close to his face and bangs it against his face but it's so soft I have no concerns whatsoever when he's playing with it. Also I think the message of the animals is just so sweet and is teaching them to be kind to even while they're little, also it's nice for bedtime, because they are able to grab it and feel it and you're not afraid that they're going to hit themselves the way they would if it was a hard book even one of those cardboard books. I love it, so does baby.

This book is great! It's colorful and soft and has many fun features! It's great for a babies 2 months and up.

I bought this book for my twin grandsons who love to be read to and to "read" for themselves! The pictures are bright and colorful and large. Definitely kid friendly. The puppy on the front is adorable and easy for kids to grab ahold of and "pet" and it quickly grabs their attention. Throughout the book there are different sounds and textures and shapes to entertain them. The rattle could have been done a little better for little kids I think because you have to grab it to make it work well (see pictures). One of their favorite things is it has a handle to pack it around with! The materials look like they will outlast our babies while still providing them hours of enjoyment. It's sewn well, with no missing or broken stitches, and the materials and pages are thicker. Overall, it's a cute book with a sweet message.

Baby likes these books especially the crinkle pages. Keeps baby interested for a good while especially in the car seat. Fabric is soft and I like that they are washable, like others said you don't need both.
