Tasty, but stinky
My husband and I drink this tea every night before bed. He seems to think it helps him sleep. I am not too sure, but it does seem to have a calming g effect. But, we both enjoy the taste. It is a mild, almost minty, pleasant taste. The smell is another story! It smells like stinky feet. As soon as you tear the paper it hits you. It honestly does not make the tea less appetizing. In spite of the smell, it is really good.

My Dynamic Duo
After learning the benefits of valerian root as a sleep aid, I started taking this Solaray Valerian Root, 470 mg, 180 Count in capsule form, along with a cup of this Traditional Medicinals Organic Nighty Night Tea, 16 Tea Bags (Pack of 6) before bed. This combination works well for me, but the sedating effects of valerian root in capsule form took an hour or more (for me) to feel. It’s not hard to understand that it might take this long for the gel cap to dissolve in your stomach and then be absorbed into the bloodstream. So I took the valerian capsule a couple hours before bedtime, and drank the tea right before bed. No complaints - this combo provided the sleepy feeling needed to fall asleep in minutes, fall back to sleep quickly after any bathroom breaks, get a full 6-8 hours of continuous sleep, and wake up refreshed without any morning grogginess. Who could ask for more? Me. After discovering the valerian root version of Traditional Medicinals Nighty Night tea, I wondered if it the valerian root would work faster in liquid form – and it does. So now, 30 or so minutes before bedtime, I drink a cup of tea brewed from a single tea bag of BOTH Nighty Night teas. Yes, I’ve tried Nighty Night valerian root tea by itself, but sleep onset is considerably slower. And yes, I’ve tried the Nighty Night tea without valerian root, but the passion flower blend isn’t always potent enough to keep me asleep all night. What the valerian root blend lacks in smell/taste is made up for with longevity, and what the passion flower lacks in longevity is made up for with smell and taste. Valerian root smells like a sewer all on its own, and has nothing to do with the brand or delivery method. But it’s safe and effective, and I’d be more concerned about any form of valerian root that didn’t smell putrid, as it probably means it’s poor quality and/or there’s not enough of it to do its magic. That said, Traditional Medicinals has done a good job of masking the odor of this high-quality, organic tea, and an even better job of masking its flavor. The passion flower blend is a downright tasty brew. The valerian root blend isn’t as tasty as the other, but it’s not as bad as some here would have you think – its smell and taste have been nicely masked with other herbs. And when the two are combined, the flavor is very nice indeed. If you're looking for a cozy flavorful herbal tea just for the sake of enjoyment before bed, you might want to look elsewhere (or drink the passion flower blend alone), but if you're looking for sleep, you've come to the right place.

Better sleep in a few sips.
This tea knocks me out. Literally Nighty Night! Within 15 minutes I’m drowsy. I tried so many different supplements, nothing works better than this tea. I use a small tea cup and let it steep for at least 5 minutes; longer is better. I’m not drinking it like I drink other teas. The goal is to drink it up in a few sips. The cons here are…smells like feet to me and taste ok. I can get it down. But it wouldn’t be my first choice for enjoying a cup of herbal tea. 5 stars for sleep effect, 4 for the taste

Excellent tea
These are amazing, but you need to let them steep for at least 15 minutes which it does say on the box. I also use more than one teabag. It helps me be able to fall asleep and/or relax on those nights when I'm a little wound up. I would highly recommend either for helping to sleep or just relaxing. And they are very tasty.

Pretty Good!
I tried this tea for about a year and a couple of months. Do not expect to drink and fall to the floor asleep. However, it did help relax me ALOT, even just the smell after taking it for a while relaxed me. And I get a better nights rest when I take it, feeling more energized in the morning than normal. When I first bought it, I was experiencing trouble sleeping and it helped and now that I'm experiencing trouble with noisy neighbors, its still helping me relax enough to fall asleep.

Okay but Not Very Strong
The tea has a pleasant flavor and is organic, but I didn’t notice a strong relaxing effect. Works for mild relaxation, but not very potent for deep sleep. Decent option if you like herbal teas.

Worked for me, very green taste
Smells like you are drinking a tree, or grass. Tastes pretty okay, not bad. Definitely felt sleepier after drinking it! Very happy.
