This machine is perfect and reasonably priced
I was dreaming about a cable machine in my home gym for many years but did not want something that was going to take half the room and cost more than my mortgage. This machine is perfect and reasonably priced. If you are looking for a well made, sturdy and versatile cable machine for lat, triceps and back workouts you cannot go wrong with this product. It comes complete with olympic plates adapter so if you use olympic plates, you will be able to use them on this machine. The cable system and mechanics are smooth and work well. Setup takes time but not as long as I had expected and I was able to assemble the whole thing by myself. Total assembly time as approximately 3 and a half hours and requires a crescent wrench and alan wrench set as the ones included are not really suitable. The directions are reasonably clear and if followed are a good guide to putting the machine together. This machine has made a good addition to my home gym and I am very satisfied with it. If you plan on using heavy weight on your lat machine, this machine may not be the right choice but I've had 150 pounds on it with no issues.

Quality addition!
First, the packaging is very good. it uses a 'box-within-a-box' method, minimizing damage. One of the mounting tangs was bent slightly and I had to adjust it with a hammer and the blister pack for the nuts/bolts had busted, but interior box kept anything from getting lost. The pieces feel solid, the welds are good, and the pads are a grade above what I was expecting. The assembly was straightforward and the instruction booklet is well done. It would have been nice had XMark indicated which pulley cable was the high cable and which was the low cable. I ended up watching the video online and it was clarified, but it would have saved some time to note that in the booklet. To be fair it was probably on the packaging, but i had unpacked everything at that point. The seat moves back and forth slightly, even with the bolts tightened. This may be intentional, but I didn't see that described as a feature. It's not noticable in operation. The accessories are also nicer than I expected. I had planned to purchase a separate long pulldown bar, but the XMark bar is pretty solid and will work fine. The straight bar is also a good bar. Finally, the actual operation of the machine is very good. It's super quiet and the cable action is smooth. I'm 6'0" (180 cm) and I can get a complete range of motion from the pulldown bar by minimizing the extra chain. They give you a small container of grease for the slide rods, which is a nice touch. I was initially looking at a slightly cheaper brand (T.F.) but the last piece I bought from them required a couple hours of work to get it operational and the price difference wasn't worth it. If you are considering this other option, I can say that every aspect of the XMark machine is better than the T.F. seated calf raise I purchased and well worth the additional cost.

Perfect for home gym!
WOW. Amazing product and great addition to my home garage gym, did alot of research on home lat pulldown machines and am so glad i decided to go with this xmark one! Packaging was real nice and overall quality of product is very good as well. This thing is heavy duty and is perfect for a wide variety of excercises with different attachments. Like the other reviews on here though i did notice the instructions do not state to feed the cables through the pulleys as you go so this way you dont have to do re work. Other than that instructions were straightforward, just wished they made note of it for the consumer. Been a month now since using it and am loving it. Its in the middle of home quality and commercial quality, like i said this thing is heavy duty and so far have tested 295lbs and no issues. Highly Recommended to anyone wanting to start home gym, also the videos some users have uploaded already helped through the install, took me and my buddy about 3 hours but thats because we’re not very hands on and the whole cable line and pulley issue

Welcome Addition to Home Gym
Very fast shipping - I purchased this on May 19th and it was delivered on May 26. I took my time and assembled it myself. I made one error in assembling the machine: I did not realize the guide rods had to be inserted into the cross brace pieces versus setting on top. As a result, the cables were too short and I could not connect them to the frame. I emailed the company and got back a response in one day. Pretty impressive for a company that’s closed due to COVID-19 issues. So, when assembling the machine, in addition to threading the cables as you attach the pulleys, be sure the guide rods are IN the top and bottom cross pieces! Let me be a lesson to you and prevent yourself a headache. The machine itself is awesome. I am a 5’9” female and I have no issues with a wide or narrow grip on the lat bar. I’ve also used the machine for triceps pulldowns, rows, bicep curls and leg extensions (both for hamstrings and quads). I’ll never get near the 400 pound max on this thing, but it’s solid for the weights I use. The weight carriage travels smoothly up and down the guide rods and I have full range of motion. I am careful to stand directly in front of the low cable assembly when I do the leg extensions as I would imagine the machine could get off balance if I didn’t. This is an awesome addition to my home gym. I am very glad I got it and can only recommend it. It’s not terribly cheap, but it’s not as expensive as others. It’s very sturdy and solid. I liked the fact of having both high and low cable assemblies without having to hook up anything additional. It is very well built (I don’t have any wobble when I use it). I can see me using this for years to come. Well done, XMark!

Good home gym equipment, could be more stable
Overall it's a great machine. 11 gauge steel doesn't feel flimsy, good range of motion and smooth (if you keep it lubed!) My biggest complaint is it can be a little tippy with enough weight on it, and it doesn't have anything to tie it to the ground. You have to be sure to put weight on the metal foot plate, or be sitting on it. Assembly instructions worried me but it was easy enough to assemble.
