Good Size
Size is good enough for a Pizza a little under 14 inches (mainly due to the handle rivets taking up some space). It is a pretty good peel, but should rather be priced at around £14.99. It is light in weight, but consider that in terms of size and storage, you may need to find a large space to store it away - else drill a hole in the handle and hang it up in your kitchen.

The real deal and the perfect size for 12” pizza
Solidly made pizza peal and the perfect size for 12 inch and slightly larger homemade pizzas. A suitable match for most pizza stones too. Ignore all the other Chinese made tat on sale here of which the vast majority are too small anyway, this is USA made and not much more expensive than the rest. Recommended!

The Build Quality of this peel is terrible
Expectations from a pizza peel are simple, you flour the paddle end with e.g. semolina or ordinary flour, place your pizza on, take it to the very hot pizza oven, slide in on to the stone, close the hatch door, in my case. Here you get a 14 inch square paddle, which is cut from thin aluminium, with well rounded corners. At the back, a further 2 inches allows for the handle to be attached. They use 3 rivets, which are clearly attached randomly, there is no measured pattern. On the samples I had, this meant that the holding metal had a break on at least one rivet. The process of attaching the rivets buckles the metal joint on both sides, which means it sticks upwards, well proud of the aluminium plate holding the pizza, this causes the pizza to stick, or be cut up, if it travels to the back of the paddle. You cannot fix this by hammering the joint flat, as this damages the aluminium plate, but you should not have to, this is shoddy workmanship, and you pay enough to expect more. A clean, neat joint is all you should expect. Many of the wood handles are poorly finished, about half of them actually had a crack in the wood. The wood is unfinished, unvarnished.I tried many, until Amazon gave up, said they were all like this, and offered a full refund, which I accepted, and purchased a well made alternative.

A real pizza slide
Why is it so hard to find a proper size of pizza slides? That is, if you buy 14" pizzas. So this one does the job perfectly.Easy to use, it is well balanced. And the handle feels robust too. The blade is thin enough to remove any pizza, big or small. If you want a decent tool for the task, buy one of these.
