Scan QR code, WATCH THE VIDEO!! Installed December 10, 2023, on 2005 Xterra with anti-theft. Fairly easy install. No wire splicing, no panels to remove, all work is done in driver side foot well. Hardest part of the install was moving my arm within the foot well while on my back with my feet dangling beside the driver seat head rest. GET READY TO WORK LIKE A 1 ARMED T-REX. Note: I figured I didn't need to plug in the trailer harness because I don't have a trailer, PLUG IN THE TRAILER HARNESS or the programming won't work. Only problem I encountered was having to cut off the locking clip on the Star-X harness connector going into the ignition lock cylinder, the locking clip was too fat. May just be an 05 Xterra issue, or might be an aftermarket lock cylinder installed by previous owner. After install and quick 60 second programming, unit worked like a charm.

Works perfectly. Installation was pretty cut and dry, however, I did come across an issue that the locks did not work and it would not program. I called the help number and immediately got a call back with one of their mechanics who guided me extremely well over the phone. Turns out, the black plug-in to control the locking mechanism can attach either way, one way will not allow them to work, the other way will. The only way to know is if after you connect it, see if your locks work. If they do not work, disconnect it and flip it over and plug it back in. It was as simple as that for me and now works, wonderfully. I did not even need the zip ties as the entire assembly tucked in nicely right under the steering wheel compartment. Worth every penny, especially with winter coming quickly. Will happily recommend to my Xterra group.

Instructions are clear. Plug and play. Dont force anything if it doesnt fit.

There where no instructions on how to install. Mechanic couldn’t even figure this out?

Straight plug and play for a 2006 Xterra. I did not have to modify any of the connectors. Just the trailer harness was not an exact fit but you can still insert it to the StartX harness. The black connector on the BCM was hard to remove, I used a hose pliers to remove it. The 3x lock workers great to start the truck. You can also shut it off from the remote with 4x click. When you get in and press the brake and insert the key, it will shut off. I thought I could just drive off. Which is a good security measure. It’s also nice the parking lights will turn on.
