Great Light at a great price
Have this light 4 years now and for the price and size, hard to beat. Didn't bother with the tape switch, installed the rocker instead and mounted on top of HD rifle and was on a pistol before that. Solid 800 lumens for a couple of minutes constant on. Fairly durable with no issues in normal use. Would buy another due to size and weight savings. Have the Protac HLX for tape switch use, but you add bulk to the system for range and more lumens/candella. Only issue I have had was closing the battery compartment. Bottom popped out when I was closing the lever and snapped the rocker portion. Didn't know about it until I picked the rifle up and the batteries came out. Worth applying a little pressure on the bottom, replacement part wasn't bad though and pin is easy to remove.

Bright output. Durable design. Easy installation.
The Good: I loved this product. I bought this product for installation on my tactical shotgun and the output was phenomenal. The light was bright and had broad coverage. With the long-gun kit you not only receive the standard thumb switch but you also get the extension pressure switch. One depression of the pressure switch activates the standard light "on" function and a rapid double depression results in a "strobe" feature. You also get a strong 3M adhesive strip for attaching the pressure switch or you can include the two retaining clips for attaching the switch to a rail (when available). The Bad: Although it isn't necessarily a "bad", I have decided to list the weight of the light here. The aluminum case, battery and rail mount add to the overall weight of this light. Although I do not notice it much when mounted on my tactical shotgun, if someone were to install this light on their handgun, you would definitely notice the weight. Overall: I would recommend this Streamlight product in a heartbeat. Compared to other weapon lights that I have tested and used in the past, this one was super simple to install and the light is nice and bright which means added safety in any dark environment.

VERY bright light and very compact!!
I have used many Streamlight products in the past and they never fail to impress, especially for the money. I already own a Streamlight TLR1 HL that I keep on one of my Glocks and have loved that light. Very durable (been used on my 9mm and 45acp Glocks for several hundred rounds combined and still works perfectly), extremely bright especially for how compact it is and just very well made and finished. I got this long gun kit version for a new 10.5" AK47 that I recently got. It is mounted on the right side of the rifle on a magpul cantilever mount to get it out front as much as possible with the pressure switch mounted on a short piece of picatinny rail on the left side. I LOVE the ability to turn it completely off so that you can't accidentally bump the pressure pad and activate it in a very inconvenient time or bump it on while transporting and drain the battery. I also like that the pressure switch is only momentary on so as soon as you release the pressure it goes off. I also REALLY like that they include the standard rear battery cover so if you don't want to use the pressure pad switch or choose to mount it on a pistol you can swap out the rear battery covers. Don't waste your money on overrated and WAY overpriced crap like surefire, go with a streamlight. They're just as nice, just as durable and in a lot of cases brighter for a fraction of the money.

Great light at a great price
I love this light!!!! Perfect for a HD setup. It comes with several zip ties, an adhesive strip, and a tape switch. The light works with and without the tap switch plugged in. Very easy to operate, super bright. Personally I like mounting the tape switch to a picatinny rail section with the adhesive tape and trying it down with the zip ties. If you want to mount it at 3, 6, or 9 o clock you need to buy a small KeyMod or M-Lok Picatinny rail section to mount the light itself to.

Nice light- reasonable price
Easy to mount, super bright, double tap pressure pad for strobe effect. Really nice light for a decent price. I did think I’d be able to do momentary or solid on/off with pressure pad, but it’s momentary only, but honestly, the pad takes such little pressure to engage, just holding my rifle the way I normally would works fine, so not a deal breaker for me. If you want to have it steady on, just flip the switch on the light housing from momentary to on. Not a huge deal. Good buy for the money.

Stream light is hands down the best
I have used MANY different brands of light for my weapons and person. I did 9 years in the Marine Corps Infantry and am currently a police officer. I have used SureFire and other name brands but STREAM LIGHT is amazing. They are super durable and bright. I am not one to baby my equipment due to worrying about breaking it. I take the outlook that if it is going to break if your don't baby your equipment, it means the equipment is cheaply made and you need to replace it. I love the green laser and light combination. Battery life is as expected with any bright light using CR123 batteries. It has the option to use laser, light, or both. It comes with a high quality pressure switch with a rail adapter to keep it looking nice and clean. STREAM LIGHT or just don't bother.

Love it!

Works very well, although I'm not a fan of the way the tail switch works, but the pressure pad looks good. Will return and look for a Surefire.

Don't buy this light. I received a bad knockoff in the correct packaging.
