MEDIX 5.5 Turmeric Brighten & Firm Body Cream

This is the best body lotion/cream I have ever used. Needless to say, I have tried basically everything available. Medix 5.5 is so luxurious. The texture is perfect and is non-greasy. The scent is lovely and not overpowering at all. It leaves my skin feeling so soft and with only one application, I felt the difference and saw the dryness vanish. I highly recommend this lotion and intend to purchase again and again. The added bonus is that it is made in Chicago. The city that I love. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.

I am obsessed with this entire line of lotions!!! Because the reviews for all the different types are together I’m going to highlight them all here as I have tried and loved every single one of them. For background on me. I’m 60 but take good care of myself and people usually think I’m 10-15 years younger than I am. I do have some age “tells” though that if you look closely would give my age away. And these lotions are making those go away. I have spent tons of money over the years and am a product junkie and I’ve never found anything that works better on my face - yes my face(!) or my body than Medix 5.5 lotions. Collagen and Peptides lotion is the one that started my love affair with this brand. All the lotions are loaded with dimethicone which fills in all the lines and plumps skin and it is amazing. Spackle for skin. Anyway after just a few days my reasonably deep forehead lines (age tell) are way less deep. Noticeably. I’ve taken such good care of myself I don’t expect to turn back the clock at all - I’m happy just slowing it down - but those lines are better. Also my skin is baby butt smooth and any alligator lines are gone. There isn’t really a smell aside from the normal lotion smell. This stuff is amazing!! Do not be afraid to use these on your face. The ingredients are safe, gentle and effective. I tried the retinol lotion. Now I’m actually very allergic to retinol but I’ve only used it on my face and I figured in a body lotion surely it’s not too strong. Well I put it on my body at night (retinol and sunlight don’t mix and I’m a Florida girl) and woke up needing a benedryl. There’s a good amount of retinol in there. Lol. No bad smell and I wish I could use this on my face but I do skim it on my legs lightly once a week or so. Hyaluronic acid and cica extract. Ok watch out for this one. This smells strongly of rose. And it doesn’t go away. I love hyaluronic acid to hold in hydration but the smell is way too strong for me. Medix has a booster that has no odor and can be mixed in and I prefer that. I am using this up by applying it before I shower and then rubbing it in with the water and showering as usual. But this one I’ll probably pass on next time. Argan oil and Vitamin E is another solid basic lotion. Smells like lotion and hydrates well. This one is also great. Vitamin C and Turmeric is a great lotion but it does smell strongly and body spray doesn’t cover the smell. But it works like it should so I will keep using this one (only at night because Vitamin C and sunshine don’t mix either). So this one has helped a lot with my brown spots on my hands and chest (another tell). I haven’t used it too much out of love for my husband sleeping next to me but I can see a difference. Coconut oil and manuka honey - this one smells fabulous! Like the best coconut tropical suntan lotion but it’s not overpowering and sadly it fades quickly. The lotion is good just like all of them although I don’t think it makes as big an impact as some of the others. Hope this helps. I cannot say enough good things about these lotion!!

Have used these products only once so far so this is a hot take. The body wash (which was about 1/4 empty bc the cap came loose in transit) smells great - very invigorating scent which was great in the shower with my shower bomb. The foam is mid - I prefer foamier - but it worked well with my scrubby mitts. The retinol body cream smells vaguely like Elmer's glue and doesn't really absorb very cleanly. Still, it's been a few hours and my skin still feels and looks moisturized - and it's dead of winter right now and normally my skin is starting to get a little chalky even this soon after a shower. The serum booster made my face feel immediately tight, which felt weird and eased up a bit after I topped with my own moisturizer. Jury's still out - it's pretty good for the price but they need to be more careful with packaging - a lot of the body wash ended up on the inside of the shipping bag.

After years of trying countless high-end products, I can genuinely say these are among the best I've found for improving skin quality on both the face and body. Experience with Key Products My journey began with the Collagen and Peptides lotion. I noticed visible results within just a few days, specifically a reduction in visible fine lines. This lotion uses dimethicone to effectively plump the skin, leaving it incredibly smooth. I also incorporated the Retinol lotion into my nightly routine. This is a potent formula that has worked wonders on reversing sun damage on my hands and achieving a more even skin tone. It’s effective, but you must wear sun protection during the day. Similarly, the Vitamin C and Turmeric lotion has been fantastic for fading brown spots, though it has a potent aroma that I use primarily at night. For basic, reliable hydration, the Argan Oil and Vitamin E blend is an excellent, non-scented option that hydrates very well. Texture, Scent, and Results The texture of all these creams is rich yet non-greasy. They absorb quickly and provide lasting hydration that I can feel the next day. The pump dispenser works perfectly for the thick consistency. The only minor consideration is the scent profile on some varieties. The Hyaluronic Acid and Cica Extract cream has a strong rose fragrance that might not appeal to everyone, and the Vitamin C cream has a distinct smell as well. I found the Coconut Oil and Manuka Honey option had a lovely tropical scent that faded too quickly for my liking. Final Verdict Overall, I am thrilled with these products. They deliver visible results, are very moisturizing, and offer great value for the quality. They are a robust, effective addition to my daily routine, and I highly recommend them.

Medix 5.5 Retinol & Collagen Lotion is wonderful for improving skin texture and hydration. It absorbs easily, leaving my skin feeling soft and smooth without any greasy residue. I’ve noticed a visible improvement in fine lines and overall firmness after consistent use. Gentle yet effective, it’s a great addition to any skincare routine for healthier, more youthful-looking skin.

This product was my "go to" for years. It had a gender neutral citrus fragrance. The bottles that arrived in early Selptember 2025 smell like a woman's floral perfume. As a guy, I can't use this stuff anymore and I've got to find something new. I hope that this is just an off batch that was sold in September 2025. If so, I'll try again, but as of now, this is not usable for men. I'm giving it 3 stars because it's still a great product for women.

My husband loves this. It isn't greasy, soaks in quickly, repairs dry skin. The scent is very light & nice unlike those that smell like perfume.

I absolutely LOVE this lotion!!!! It is wonderfully scented, the quality is excellent, and I get a long use out of it with using it after every shower. My skin feels firmer and dry skin is not so daunting anymore! 10/10 recommendation
