My favorite daily cleanser. I bought some for my young adult son who has acne. This is great for my mature, dry skin that is sensitive and prone to break outs. The texture is perfect. It's concentrated and you only need a dime-sized amount, so a bottle lasts me at least 9 months and it winds up being a good value. (I only wash my face at night.) Take a small amount and emulsify it in your hand with a little water, then enjoy. I've tried many other cleansers - cheaper and far more expensive, but this is the best combination for me.

My mother-in-law got me a sample of this cleanser, and I love the formula! I have combo skin on the dryer side sometimes and find this cleanser to be gentle on the skin and less stripping than previous cleaners. It is a smooth and hydrating gel, you really only need the tiniest bit! I squeeze a small amount of product and massage into my face and then wet my fingertips to create suds and clean my skin. A simple yet quality and essential skincare product for your routine!

I've been using DEFENSE cleanser as well as the SPF moisturizer for a few months now. I like the quality of the cleanser; it comes out of the bottle as a thicker liquid and after you start to massage it onto your face it has a creamier feel. I usually massage the cleanser for 1 minute and then rinse. After using it, when my face dries it leaves my face feeling clean without any dryness or leaving any kind of residue feel. I do have more sensitive skin and the DEFENSE cleanser doesn't make my face red or irritated at all; it's also fragrance free!! If you're looking for a cleanser that will minimize pores or take care of acne, this wouldn't be what you're looking for. But if you just want a clean feeling face with some protection from all that pollution in the air (if you, like me, live in a large city) this is a great cleanser. This was also my first purchase from PC and I definitely will keep using PC products.

I’ve tried so many cleansers over the years that beat up my skin. This is the best at giving a clean, non-irritated cleansing with moisture after.

I like the product but the bottle is prone to leaking in your travel bag.

This is great for using as the second step if you double cleanse. My face feels so clean but not dry or tight. I have combo skin. I love all of Paula's Choice products.

The gel turns into a lovely creamy emulsion with a bit of lather - seems to remove makeup well and doesn’t dry out my skin. Will likely repurchase. (Skin type: Asian, oily T zone with dry skin as well; skin concerns: pigmentation, dryness, texture).
