Here are the "good" and "bad" on this product. . . ADVANTAGES . 1. PRICE: It is the cheapest large ceiling fan with five light fixtures. In fact, it is only one of two with frosted glass shades to soften the light. All others are clear. So, they are blinding when stared. Although it retails for $180, there are customer returns at cheaper prices. I purchased mine for $116. On 3/28/2020, there were three for $92.13. . 2. DESIGN: The fan is elegant and classical in appearance with its brass plating and intricate details. The user gets to select Redwood or Walnut fan blades. A remote operates and adjusts the device. Five fixtures provide ample lighting. With a dimmer and corresponding LED bulbs, the amount of illumination is adjustable from full to minimum. . 3. DURABILITY: The fan is warrantied for 10 years. The heavy duty mounting is designed to hold up to 150 lbs. With the exception of thin pressed board fan blades and plastic mountings for the light bulbs and security rings for the glass shades, everything else is metal and glass. . 4. VERSATILITY: Because of the wiring arrangement, the device can be adapted to two wall switches: one to turn ON/OFF the lights and the other for the fan. A cord can be pulled to turn on three-four-five fixtures. A remote controls the fan and lighting operations. . 5. QUALITY: Mine was purchased on December 2019. At the time, this was the highest rated ceiling fan on the Amazon website. . 6. PACKAGING: All components were well protected and cushioned from breakage and shipping damage. These were achieved with ample Styrofoam, crumbled paper, and a heavy cardboard box. . 7. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Although the manufacturer is located in China, emails were answered within a day. For example, my purchase was missing a receiver. The agent located one within a day. He included an additional remote to ensure that the wireless controls would work. . . DISADVANTAGES . 1. The manufacturer supplied five useless 40 watt halogen bulbs. They operate hot and require large quantities of electricity. Replace them with 100 watt dimmable LEDs. . 2. Installation requires a professional electrician and 13 hours of labor. He had to rewire and cut a hole in the ceiling. . 3. The thin pressed board fan blades need to be replaced with plywood.

I was nervous about buying a FINXIN brand fan as I don't know the company as a fan manufacturer. The fan is good. No wobble, it looks great, very sturdy, doesn't make a motor noise at all, and is easy to install. I installed it on a 7.5ft ceiling with a slope. Yes it can be installed on a sloped ceiling which I was concerned about. The fan can only be controlled by a remote on/off light switch which is what we did. You cannot control fan settings from the wall as the receiver only has power on or off so individual light & fan settings are all controlled by the remote. So inexpensive and great that we purchased a different model from FINXIN we put in another room and it's just as great.

I like the design. I like the price however u have to fit the receiver in the mounted bracket. That cannot be done. The Manuel is poorly written and pictures are poor. I dropped it on the floor by accident it broke easily.

This fan was easy to install, works wonderfully and looks great. After an unfortunate virtual reality accident, one of the globes was broken. Not due to the quality of the globes mind you, they are nice and thick and well made. Anyway, after explaining the situation to Finxin and asking if they sold replacement globes, they asked me for the order number which I provided. Then they said they would send replacement parts, free of charge, which arrived as promised a week later. I went from thinking that I was going to have to buy a pricey replacement part to having the parts sent for free. After the parts arrived, the fan was repaired and the fan is back to illuminating, spinning and looking great.

This is a good fan, wan't too difficult to install. I only have two complaints: 1) this particular fan did not come with pull chords which is why I chose this to begin with. I wanted chords so that if the remote control ever broke or the batteries ran low, I could still turn on the fan and/or lights. It even said in the advertising, "switch is both remote control and pull chord." Well, it's not. Remote only. 2) Every time i push a button on the remote to adjust the fan speed or turn the lights off and on, the fan itself beeps. It's very annoying to hear the fan beep every time I turn in on or off or adjust the fan speed. I'd prefer to make no noise at all. The fan motor is quiet but that beeping noise is just annoying! If it wasn't such a major endeavor to install int (took two hours), I'd send it back for another brand. It is functional, pretty, and quiet, but I really wish it had the pull chords and no beep coming from fan. So, 3 out of 5 stars

This is the second fan we bought from this manufacturer and I was skeptical because I never heard of them, but this fan is way better than the well known Hunter fan which FORCES you to use their romote. My husband was able to wire this one to the wall and it works great. I don't understand fans that won't allow you to do that, it seems convenient, but what if you loose the remote?? This fan is beautiful and quiet and I couldn't be happier with it. It is also wayyyyy cheaper than the Hunter fan. Do not hesitate to buy this, it's great.

Fan was easy to assemble and install. I replace an old existing fan. Everything I needed was in the box. Was delivered as promised. Looks great. The only thing I changed was installing LED light bulbs, not because of lighting issues, just because all our light bulbs are now LED's. Gives off plenty of needed light and I like the three light setting function so you can pick the level of light you want. The fan is super quiet and moves more than enough air in our dinning room.
